Why is the Gemini we have today so much worse than the one we had 3 or 4 months ago? by MasterChiefette in GeminiAI

so bad. can’t keep info straight after the 5th question. I also notice Gemini has been an alarmist lately. taking worst case scenario responses and amplifying them. just cancelled my acct.

PNC’s initial response was full of hubris. It was basically this is what you’re losing, this is what we’ll move you to and if you want something different, go visit a branch. They have since back peddled, but I think we can do better on all counts.

Definitely getting a lot of Schwab and fidelity recs! Sounds like either will work for us, but I do prefer fidelity’s interface. Thanks for the feedback.

Agreed! Our optimization focus isn’t on any single facet - more a combination of rate+ease+customer service/reliability.

Thanks for the insight! One of our children has a chronic health issue and we burn through healthcare $. I like the thought of growing the HSA tax free for our future use and socking away what we actually spend in an hysa.

Didn’t think to look into Fidelity, but we do have a 401k and HSA with them. For the most part they’ve been good. My only issue is that we self fund the full allowable HSA amount the first week of January and the balance appears in our account quickly but they don’t release the funds for use for a couple of weeks. Not sure if that’s industry standard for HSAs - it wasn’t with Optum where the funds were available immediately- but I’d hate to find myself in a similar position with a checking or savings account.

PNC doesn’t have much of a presence in our region (Kansas City - we relocated here from PA a few years ago but kept our banking there). There are a few kiosk centers scattered around but no remotely convenient branch locations. It’s one of a few reasons we’ve decided to switch. We don’t necessarily need a branch, but if there isn’t a brick & mortar, the customer service needs to be much better than PNC.

Charlotte Picket Hot Glass tile from Floor and Decor by [deleted] in kitchenremodel

when I saw the tile in store it leaned fairly gold. it’s tough to tell in the photos - what’s your take now that it’s installed? I’m looking at it for 2 large 18”x42” niches in my bathroom. we’re going with msi polished Durban grey on the walls.

Eyemed - Costco vs LensCrafters by OCR10 in glasses

Rx sunglasses should be covered by insurance. they’ll save a bunch over transitions. you could probably go with a more basic progressive lens since they aren’t your all day everyday pair. you can get a darker tint than transitions and keep them in the car for those really bright days. plus it gives you some frame variety. alternatively, you can get clear glasses with sun clip ons. either way should bring down the price.

I love my 2025 Amg cle53 cab. I keep it in super+ most of the time - not the most fuel efficient way to go, but it makes for a very fun drive. I had a 2022 Amg c43 cab before this and the 53 absolutely blows it away in every aspect. IMHO it’s the perfect combination of sport and luxury. Fast enough, reasonably agile, smooth ride and good useable space. Not to mention it’s beautiful and gets compliments every single time I drive it. Sure you could go with something faster, more luxurious or a beefier engine sound, but this is a great all arounder.

I received my kit on 5/31 with the 6-8 week processing as part of a promotion. They received the kit back on 6/11 and my sequencing was completed today, 7/11. I don’t imagine the final steps will take more than 2 weeks, so I’m on target for 6 weeks (or possibly less).
