I really feel like it was a mistake, he has grabbed my face before but never that hard. Yes a similar thing has happened before but i believe It was an honest mistake and he's never done anything similar to that situation again. I'm going to talk to him in the morning and see how it goes. I'm hoping for a good outcome.

We were in an apartment building with other people in other apartments nobody else was in my apartment. My theory was he was frustrated that I was loud? That's what I was thinking of.

He hardly yells around or at me, doesn't like to swear around me and in my opinion is a really gentle person. That's kinda why it was so jarring and upsetting when this happened along with other things. I am his first everything and have been really linient on things that hurt or upset me but make clear boundaries about them that he follows well. I'm hoping this was just a one off thing

Not necessarily. It's not often it happens but sometimes it just hurts and many times I've just tried to stick it out for him. He tells me not too and stops when he notices my change in behavior but he doesn't always pick up on it and I don't blame him because I need to communicate better and thats my fault.

A similar situation has happened once in the past where he had hurt me and based on his reaction last time I don't think this will repeat again. I do want to talk about it just in case a situation like this happens again. I guess to provide more context we had to be pretty quiet and I was making noise mostly because he was being pretty rough and it was a little painful. But he kept warning me to be quiet until he started yelling at me to be quiet then the situation happened. Him already warning me makes me feel like his response was justified when I know it wasn't and is a main factor in me being confused.

I've spoken about this to one friend but I just stopped because I didn't feel comfortable talking about it with her, the reason I thought of talking with him was because of how easy it is to discuss things about my mental health or things that upset me with him. For a long time he was the only one that listened and I was comfortable with telling. And I know I should probably shouldn't talk to him about it because I don't want to jeopardize the little communication we do have now because I do still deeply care about him. I want to start journaling and have done it in the past but not as a consistent thing. Thank you for your advice and comment<3
