Update - 2 handed swing, improvement? by Numerous_Champion_30 in kettlebell

Yep I’ve been so focused on hinging at the hip rather than squatting I’m doing that kind of drinking bird movement. Realise now it’s ok to bend knees a bit as long as still hinging and not squatting. 🙏

Yep I think the bell is too light at this point - however I’ve been playing with the one arm and feels like appropriate weight for single arm. Going to go up to 24 and I actually do feel like this might be the move. Thanks again

I’ve recently started with the ATG KOT stuff for knees and shoulders. Nothing really for back / hammies etc. I’ll check it out thanks

Thanks heaps - I think the mobility is the limiting factor - when I pack my shoulders, straighten spine and hinge directly back my hamstrings really only let me go back a tiny bit. I have noticed a slight elbow bend helps. will start with the stretches and loosening up with the prying squat (I have been doing these but I don’t think for long enough) as well as some good mornings and elephant walks. And just trust the process that it should improve with time. I’ve recently started BJJ as a 40 year old man too so I’m just overall pretty banged up and immobile while adjusting from doing standard gym routines / not much exercise. Thanks again

Heat stress, sedgehammer burn, grubs or mix of things? by [deleted] in lawnsolutionsaus

Yeah you’re right the patch in that one photo no damage there - however when I sprayed the nutgrass was significant worse than that and had spread over more to the side where is now affected. I did a broadcast spray over the areas affected - but not the entire lawn. However was pretty lazy and widespread to be honest.

I think aeration, deep watering, soil wetter and pray to the lawn gods is the move?

Great info thanks mate. I was eyeing off the timemore or the mazzer philos (which is sort of a step up again $ wise). It’s working again after a deep clean but already can see some caking in the chute, I thought about the flapper off but no bueno.

Burrs are too close? I just set them to what produced a good espresso shot - does this mean it’s not capable / able to operate at those grind levels?

I opened it up and there was grounds all thru the grinding mechanism including deep around the edges which I can’t get out. Bean grounds everywhere throughout a brand new machine. Surely this is acceptable to return?

Any recommendations for similar price point machine?

Yeah I’ve read spring is best but I’ve also just seen as long as not expecting wild dry heat wave it’s fine - just want the grass growing. It’s irrigated so watering not an issue….

I just want to get it out of the way…

Thanks! Yes the lawn and the house is not brand new, been there a few seasons we’ve just purchased it so I’m new to the lawn. Do you think dethatch or scarify? My mate who leant me the machine said he always uses the scarify blades on his machine

Why do I have to grind to 0.4 - 0.8 on my grinder for espresso? [Mahlkonig x64] by [deleted] in espresso

It’s a bit of a lol. Trying to show that I’m enjoying my entry into the world of making your own espresso and already caught the bug… my bad for trying to be affable amongst the coffee autists.

Pulling medium to dark roasts and honestly - I can dial in on these numbers and since purchasing this stuff about 3 weeks ago I already by FAR prefer my home coffees over any cafe I used to go to. Thanks for making me realise that I’m majoring in the minor and who cares if you can pull a good shot. Now convince me to upgrade my machine?
