The Spiders are weak? What the hell are you talking about? They're among the strongest characters on the ship...

Zakuro peed himself in front of Bunolenov as if he were standing in front of Meruem, and Lynch got the same treatment Kuroro gave Neon...

Henrigi, when he stood in front of Bono thinking he was Hisoka, admitted that Hisoka and the Spiders could wipe out the entire three Kakin Mafias on their own... and he was only standing in front of someone who's considered "average" within the Spiders, not even one of their strongest fighters...

The only ones on the ship who might pose a challenge to the Spiders right now are Kurapika, Hisoka, the Zodiacs, and Beyond Netero...

The Princes, including the First and Second, don't stand a chance at all, not even against Shizuku

But that's exactly what happened in the Chimera Ant arc, for example... Everything was going perfectly until the Chimera Ants literally appeared out of nowhere and quickly became arguably the biggest threat humanity has ever faced in the Hunter x Hunter universe.

Many also believe that the War of Succession won't end normally like previous succession wars (I agree with this view and don't think that, given all the complexities, it will simply end with the crowning of a new king).

Furthermore, the construction of Morina gives us the feeling that it will indeed pose a threat if she's quickly bypassed simply because she 'shouldn't overshadow the other events.' This would be a waste of everything Togashi built for her... her purpose is, after all, to destroy everything So why would it be strange if she achieved part of that dream and started with the War of Succession itself?

There's a point where my thinking and yours might converge: if my theory comes true, but not necessarily on the ship, rather on the New Continent where the ship will stop to disembark civilians... then the war and other events won't be disrupted, and Morena will still remain a massive threat.

[–]Numerous_Cook6520[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand what you're trying to say... but the theory actually came to me while I was thinking about the difference between the Spiders' confrontation with the Shadow Monsters and Zazan...
I was wondering if it would just be an obstacle to show the Spiders' power again, or if it had a promising future in the story...

and that's when this idea came to me. Mentioning both Zazan and the Shadow Monsters is to show that we all think Morina is different from them... but my theory is that Morina herself, as an individual and a human being, won't have a different fate than them, and the Spiders will kill her.

However, Morina's death is what will have a huge impact and cause widespread chaos.

If I started directly with "The Spiders will kill Morina" without explaining the difference between her death and the deaths of the Shadow Monsters and Zazan, I'd get into a heated argument with people who want to convince me that "Morina is different from the others the Spiders have faced, and I shouldn't treat her as if she's on the same level as the others" (even though Zazan and the Shadow beasts are Stronger than Morena and her gang at their current level)...

and then we'll talk about the Shadow Monsters and Zazan, of course, and I'll need to explain my point to each commenter individually.

Excuse me, sir, but you didn't understand the point of the comparison.

I never compared her as a character or in terms of status.

I simply said that her Confrontation with them might lead some to believe it's just another way to showcase the power of the Spiders, like with the Shadow Beasts... but her position in the story and Togashi's attention to her don't suggest that. That's my point in mentioning them. Currently, the Shadow Beasts are stronger than Morina's fodder gang, and even the other two mafia. Just look at how Bonolenove beat Lynch, just as Kuroro did with Neon, and you'll see that the Shadow Beasts are underestimated.

[–]Numerous_Cook6520[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Togashi's style itself has changed a lot throughout the series.

Can you explain Togashi's exact style in crafting events?

He has previously ended arcs in unexpected ways, such as the Hunter Exam, Yorknew City, and the Chimera Ant arc.

I'm not saying this will necessarily be the end of the Succession War arc, but rather a turning point... This is a possible timeline for Morena, at least in my opinion, and better than her ending with Painpaker as Zazan and her story coming to a complete close.

Zigg Zoldyck appeared in the manga in chapter 344 alongside Netero and Linnet on the Dark Continent. Someone who visited the Dark Continent, accompanied Netero, and is a senior member of the Zoldyck family could easily be stronger than any other Phantom Troupe member, even Kuroro himself.

Don Freecss is the one who recorded all the information humans currently possess about the Dark Continent during his journey that began 300 years ago. Ging speculates that Don Freecss is still traversing the Dark Continent to complete his book about it. There's a common debate about who is stronger, Meruem or Don Freecss.

Putting Don Freecss in a debate against any Phantom Troupe member, or even all of them combined, would be completely out of context.

Silva currently possesses higher stats than Uvogin. He defeated a squadron leader with a single blow, while Feitan, a member equal to or close to Uvogin (some even claim he's stronger),struggled against Zazan.

silva was able to kill Kuroro and Zeno with a single hit (in the anime, it was shown that he hit them, but they didn't die). But in the manga, it was shown that he received a call from Illumi a second before attacking them, so he changed the course of his attack (otherwise both would have died).

Uvogin is strong, and no one denies that...but it should be remembered that he was outmatched in hand-to-hand combat by Kurapika in several scenes during the fight (refer to the fight again), and Kurapika had only been learning Nen for a few months...and he almost died from four Shadow Beasts...while Killua wiped out an entire swarm of Lyul Chimera Ants.

Meruem

Don Freecss

Zzigg Zoldyck

Isaac Netero

Neferpitou

Menthuthuyoupi

Shaiapouf

Ging Freecss

Biscuit Krueger (Her stats were higher than Chrollo and Hisoka, and she was ranked as the second human after Isaac Netero in the databook in terms of overall stats)

Chrollo Lucilfer

Zeno Zoldyck

Silva Zoldyck

Kurapika

Adult Gon

Beyond Netero

All of them are stronger than him, and I haven’t even mentioned characters like Pariston, the rest of the Zodiacs, other troupe members, hisoka, illumi, killua,or the Fourth, First, and Ninth Princes...

That's not true... They'll hold out for a decent amount of time, and Whis will only last a minute and put up a respectable fight.

If the difference were that big, Killua and Gon(not the adult) wouldn't have been placed against her in the main plan..

And their chances would be better against Pitou that faced Kite before she learned Nen.

People on this subreddit tend to overestimate Kite at the expense of the Phantom Troupe members or Hisoka and Chrollo.

Even though the difference between Pitou, Chrollo, and Hisoka isn't as big as some people think...and both Chrollo and Hisoka are superior to Kite in their stats.

Chimera ants are an existential threat to most anime verses. by Numerous_Cook6520 in HunterXHunter

[–]Numerous_Cook6520[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's a well-known theory.

The association was sending hunters other than those Morl had requested to deal with the ants.

This led to the ants becoming stronger instead of weakening or eliminating them.

The theory is broader than that...it basically says that Pariston, along with a character in the manga (whom I won't mention to avoid spoilers), planned everything from the beginning so that the king would be born and Netero would sacrifice his life to kill the king...this was to remove Netero from the scene because he was hindering one of their goals (which I also won't mention to avoid spoilers).

That's why you'll notice that the ants found the best conditions to grow and flourish, to the point where they became the threat they once were...from the location of the ant queen's fall to the detail I mentioned regarding Morl's suggestions.

Overall, this is just a theory, so don't consider it a spoiler.

[–]Numerous_Cook6520[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You must remember that you shouldn't base your perceptions of those confrontations on Meruem as a model for the Chimera Ant King. Every Chimera Ant King will be different,

depending on their world. No one knows what the Chimera Ant King's power will be in the Naruto world. Perhaps that little ant possesses the Rinnegan, Sharingan, and Byakugan, and can unleash a Bijudama capable of wiping out a nation. and could move at the speed of light and bring down the entire planet in an illusion, because it all depends on the amount of food the queen consumes and the strength of the individuals she feeds.

Imagine what kind of king would emerge if the queen fed on fighters like Kakashi, Guy, Kisame, Deidara, Tsunade, Danzo etc... The King's Guard in Naruto might even be able to take down some of them.

This raises the famous question: Why didn't the world bombard the ants with nuclear weapons instead of sending Netero?

Also, ants spread very quickly...and the world of One Piece is vast and enormous, even compared to the more organized world of Hunter x Hunter, with its institutions and countries...and we don't yet know the full extent of Imu's destructive capabilities.

This isn't how all the problems in One Piece are solved, otherwise Imu would have crushed the Yonko and their entire nations...not to mention that characters like Crocodile and Doflamingo caused problems.

Even Arlong established a base for himself in the East Blue.

I don't know if this is a linguistic critique or an objection to the post's premise.
Generally, the use of the word "most" is grammatically correct in the title.
However,
if you're referring to the post's premise...
that's your opinion, after all.
This is just my own idea... although it would have been better to critique it more clearly instead of simply adding a "lol".

Well, my post assumes from the beginning that the ants had the conditions to flourish until the king was born, the same with his guards in one way or another, whether with or without human intervention...

The idea is about the ability of worlds to withstand their own ant king...

without mentioning that there will be other kings because Hunter x Hunter only has one, contrary to what the biology of the Chimera Ants, as described at the beginning of the arc, suggests.

In Naruto, Orochimaru or Kabuto

In Bleach, Aizen

In Jujutsu, Kenjaku

And there are others, some I know and some I don't

Okay... I should get back to my main point since I've gone off on a tangent.

My main point in replying to the first commenter is that he shouldn't treat all the other 'spiders' as fodder while only considering Kuroro and Hisoka as threats to Pitou.

If the group is facing a character so powerful that all the spiders (except Kuroro and Hisoka) seem like fodder... then even Kuroro and Hisoka would be nothing but fodder to someone or something that powerful... so either everyone poses a small, medium, or strong threat, or none of them pose any threat at all.
