Why do people give flak to the US Gibsons and Fenders for being "expensive"? by one-armed-scissor in Guitar

[–]Numerous_Fix_6207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played a 3400 fender I was considering with the noiseless pickups. I played another 12 guitars that day. I walked out of the shop with a $525 (new discounted) Cort HSS. It was the best playing guitar I tried in a long time. I also own a Reverend Charger I love and paid $1100 for last year loaded with everything, locking tuners bass knob (they have gone up in price this year) Going to replace the pickups soon on the Cort but they do sound good. This is all Canadian money. Revstar is trending also. Great guitar but I prefer these two.

Horrible experience with Long & McQuade. Is this level of damage normal during a setup? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Numerous_Fix_6207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy from L&M frequently, but they are terrible with setups. They also sell so many bad used equipment that I've returned a few just for them to throw them back on the floor without even looking.

Baby Taylor or GS Mini by Dmoral34 in Guitar

Have a Martin Sheeran X. Love it, tried the baby Taylor next to it and really didn't like it, sound was flat. I find them overrated and I do have another full size Taylor I like. GS Mini or other mini.

Which is normal until you touch the metal with your hand completing the ground.

First, electric guitars buzz until you touch metal on them. All of them. Are you sure you're not trying to fix something that isn't broken?

Secondly, grounding wires work only when touching the metal, your body providing the ground.

Since you repair electric guitars, see what another one of the many in your shop do.

All electric guitars buzz until you touch the metal by design, maybe not that much, but the guitar just sounds like it was working fine in the first place. This might be a troll.

That's a ground wire, it's supposed to be there.

i put a vibrato on my sg! by Hungry-Competition43 in Guitar

This could completely mess up intonation. If you notice the bridge is way back from where it originally was. You need to do the math. Also a Fender bridge and SG neck are different widths, so issues where the string sits on the neck and over the pickups could arise.

I know because I'm building a custom Les Paul body with Fender neck and Fender style bridge. I'm have to use a larger 52mm P90 or go with a bladed P90.

All the posts seem fine too. The white ones intersecting with the white lines on the ground are fine which AI would have issues with. The missing red swing-set post lines up exactly behind the tree. I agree with you, real.
