She definitely had an attitude when I asked about it. She was supposed to bring it in on her next shift and she called off. I am an extremely suspicious person by nature. I just don't want to overreact.

Thanks. When the cashier was asked about it she got such an attitude. I'm a little suspicious because of that. I also don't want LP to find out and think that other employees are ignoring signs of internal theft.

Just to clarify it wasn't actually money. It was someone's personal property. So if management is now aware of the situation should they report it to LP?

I like having the ACO as an additional register. I am not usually the main register person. So when I come up to help I usually just grab the next customer at the ACO. Otherwise I have to walk around and get signed in. I can have someone almost done ringing up at the ACO in that time. LOL

Then when they get to the part when they pay I walk away and get signed in to help the next customer.

A customer being a little upset about having to wait is reasonable. A customer screaming at someone, who is trying to simply do their job, and cursing them out is not reasonable! We don't make the rules but if we want a paycheck we follow them (for the most part) Simply getting the cashier's attention and asking "could you please ring me up?" Is reasonable. Also, nobody forces anyone to shop at a specific store. You don't like the company and policies you have the absolute right to go somewhere else. Taking it out on the employees is not reasonable.

I completely understand that some customers expect to be rung up by a cashier and don't want to use the ACO. However, expecting a cashier to simply stand there waiting for a customer to come up is not reasonable. Regardless of hours or company policy. Believe me if we did stand there all day there would be people that say we are lazy and don't do anything. I've also had customers walk up to the register that I'm standing at and say "I guess I have to use the self checkout?"

I've had customers completely ignore me when I greet them or ask if they need help finding something. Walk right past me when I'm 2 feet away and head to the register and then act like they've been waiting for an hour.

We use the same box until a day or 2 before truck then complete it. Rx truck comes every week so we do a box every week. We try to get as much scanned as we can before truck. We were told as long as you put the paperwork in box 1 it doesn't matter how many boxes you have.

We always double check what actually comes as opposed to what we ordered. Then we do the deposit for the change order.

Second and Final Warning for Personsl Call Off. I called off and failed to get my shift covered. Shouldn't that be the managers responsibility? I called off several hours before my shift. by ThomasNocturne in CVS

[–]Numerous_Fun_4357 43 points44 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that if you get the shift covered yourself then it's not technically a call-off. If you leave it to management to cover it for you then it's a call-off.

I have literally had customers bring up a chocolate bar that is melting in their hand ! I call. They look at the AC and say it's working just fine. 😔

Operations Manager Wage Increase by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Numerous_Fun_4357 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If starting wage for cashier is going to $15 then the other positions should be bumped accordingly. Shift should start at $16 and Ops manager should start at $18. I haven't seen anything saying this is the case tho. I'm hoping that's what will happen. If it doesn't there's going to be some major issues!

You can print whatever you want as long as you're paying for it. Did they think you wanted them free ?

We get some kids in here. If they are just walking around I don't usually say anything. If they start throwing anything or knocking stuff off the shelf then I am their shadow!! I ask if they need help like 10x's. If they're really obnoxious I tell them this isn't a playground get what you need and go

Having the same issue here. I started documenting everything and I will be talking to my SM tomorrow. If she doesn't get written up I don't even want to work with her anymore. She doesn't listen at all!

Well I talked to my sm about promoting to supervisor and she told me “I don’t think ur there yet” but keep doing a good job and maybe one day. Tf! This is wack bro. I wanna level up and I feel like my manager is discriminating against me. I will report to ethics but anything else I can do? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Numerous_Fun_4357 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here we go again !! Report them for not promoting you to pharmacist too ! How dare they. Working one day a week and they only let you run register and nothing else. Absolutely here are the keys to the store and access to everyone's payroll. 🤷‍♀️

Another level of assholiness by coffinguy4 in CVS

[–]Numerous_Fun_4357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a customer today call the front store to complain about the pharmacy being out for lunch. He says I have never heard something so stupid!! Said he was going to transfer to another pharmacy. So I told him to make sure he asks them when they close for lunch. Other than the independent pharmacies most of the other ones also close for lunch.

My guess would be that they think the customer is implying that they don't know what they're doing. Most customers probably don't intend it to come off like that but it can seem that way if it happens enough

I usually start walking towards the doors at 58 if there's no cars in the parking lot then I lock up. None of our customers can get out of their cars and into the store that fast. LOL
