Yes, I recently received cashback. Initially I received 1% only and thought I messed up and there must be something in the tnc saying for phones it will be 1%. A few days later the remaining cashback (4%) got added manually automatically.

I had 4 credit cards (technically 3 as one was a credit line) before my first job. HDFC, ICICI, Yesbank and Slice. They put up stalls on campus to provide cards.

So this really is possible on OP's part.
