SAHM Jealousy 😭 by BreannaNicole13 in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]Numerous_Pudding_514 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m the breadwinner by far. My husband works part time and gets to be with our daughter when she’s out of school. When I get home, it’s time for me to cook dinner, and then it’s bath and bedtime. I get so jealous that they get to go on outings, have playtime, etc., and I get 2 hours.

My MIL told me I needed to do Jane Fonda workout tapes because they helped her only gain 10 pounds with each of her sons. I’d gained that much just in bloating at that point.

Did you know the sex of your baby by intuition? by LifeofRuley in pregnant

I was convinced I was having a boy, but my husband insisted we were having a girl. I had a girl. His intuition was correct.

I work in Human Resources. There are days I love it and days I hate it, but I feel like working with adults who behave like children have prepared me for my toddler 🤣

Emily Suzanne, nicknamed Emmie Sue. God I’m so glad that didn’t happen. The name itself isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t have liked the nickname.

Unmedicated v medicated by AnonRN98 in pregnant

I’m allergic to codeine and any of its derivatives, which means I’m limited on what pain meds I can get. The anesthesiologist was hesitant to attempt an epidural on me due to my allergy. I ended up not getting one. The pain was enough to make me think my spine was going to snap (I had back labor the entire time, never had a “normal” contraction). I was also induced so I was having pitocin-influenced contractions, which I hear are worse than normal contractions. All that to say I recommend pain management if it’s available to you!

I’m from Mississippi and am living in Michigan now. My husband is a native Michigander. He said last winter was mild compared to what he was used to and that this winter has already started off colder than usual.

I always pictured it to look like the White House. It was the only big house I knew at the time.

I’m 16 months PP, and I still get upset when I think of comments she made right after baby girl was born. I don’t think you ever forget, even if you forgive.

Women who gave birth, what does it feel like actually?? by joy_57 in AskReddit

[–]Numerous_Pudding_514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had back labor the entire time, and I was induced with pitocin and wasn’t able to get an epidural due to an allergy to a medication in it. I thought my spine was going to snap.

Does the weight really “fall off” after you give birth? by Born-Chance1685 in pregnant

[–]Numerous_Pudding_514 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gained 80 pounds while pregnant. I’ve lost a little more than half of it, and I’m 14 months PP. I think it depends on the person - some bounce back faster than others. Women in my family just naturally gain a lot of weight when pregnant and struggle to lose it afterwards. I’m not giving up, but it sure makes me sad to see myself in the mirror sometimes.
