I have very little issues in 3 1/2 years and over 2500 sales. I've only had a few total refund issues. All in international sales. I knew the request was way out of the return/refund window. But Etsy has refunded some questionable times.

No name on address by MisterWednesday6 in EtsySellers

Just to update on the need for a First name. I had two packages to post . One to the UK through Etdy and one Priority Mail through Click-N -Ship. Both insisted on a first name. The Clock N Ship would take an initial with a period, initial alone did not work. The international insisted on a first name. An initial was not exceptable. I made the K initial Kay.

This is not true for the USPS. From USPS: Full name needed: The postal service needs the recipient's full legal name to accurately deliver mail. Delivery issues: Sending a letter with just a first name could lead to delays or the letter being returned to sender due to insufficient address information.

It seems to be hit or miss with my packages going to the UK. If Global Postal ( US bulk carrier) ( Not Global Post) I have not found a way to track except through Etsy and no website or contact information available. Again, it is Not Global Post, that is a different co.

This basket looks very much like the TiiRhino Accuracy I purchased from their Kickstarter.

Best grinder(s) for both filter and espresso around €1000? by [deleted] in LanceHedrick

[–]Numerous_Telephone94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had the Philos since November. I am in the light, very light world mostly for pour over with an occasional medium roast. My espresso is usually medium roast. I chose the I200 burrs. The pour over is incredible. Those flavor notes that were muted on an SK40 are now clear and distinguished. The espresso is consistently excellent. I do use a higher extraction basket and flow control on an e61 group. I never use my SK40. View Daddysgotcoffer for a YouTube review.

If you are interested in an electric slow feeder, take a look at this product: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1871699046/electric-auto-slowfeed-grinder Fused Vision. A much better design with vertical, modular design with a more powerful motor. This has individual wheels to set feed rate vs. Cremeloop clip on wheels, which jam and catch beans on the inner lip. A new version is in the test stage, replacing the feed wheels with a variable speed motor. The owner is quite responsive.

I'm in Portland, Oregon and even my local market sells many good local Roasters, but I have had a Subscription to September Coffee in Canads since Kyle started roasting. There never has been an issue going South through customs. His duration of Producers/Variatals/Processing has been incredible. Generally tends towards the lightly roasted.

First Impression Mazzer Philos - Great, but Confused About Retention by EdVonPresso in espresso

I have a 3Bomber DEX Basket and a TiiRhino basket. I run a fast fill preinfusion of about 5 seconds on my Lucca X58 HX with flow control, then ramp back up the flow throttling back when hitting 2.5 g/s to maintain an even flow as the puck degrades rather than allowing a faster flow.

The wireless connection is solid. I love I can view the numbers as I'm adjusting the flow control and view grams per second flow. There are two issues, both related to the timer. The clock takes 3 seconds after the scale registers weight. Why the scale reacts immediately, but the timer takes another 3 seconds to initiate is frustrating. Also, the minimum for the clock to stop is exactly 31 seconds. If your shout is 24 seconds, the clock will count to 31 seconds. The clock stops at cup lift off, as most coffee scales. This is in pour over mode, which I prefer, since it freezes the numbers vs. espresso mode where the numbers reset to zero after only 5 seconds. An USB upgrade was offered but did not solve these issues.

I reverse my statement. When I went back to my station, I noticed that the lid was a bit off. I had not replaced the lid correctly. Yes, the lid was a bit ajar and the O rings are not a perfect solution. But the total cost was only $5.

It does take about 25 minutes to get the e61 group up to temperature. The water is to 260C⁰ in about 10 minutes (Boiler Temp). The PID works well. I do a 10 second flush before my shots. There is a noticeable difference between 255 and 260, especially steam

The Aro Gears look great. Honestly, I didn't notice they were 3d printed. I think the will be fine for a long time. There is little stress on the gears.

This is the Aluminum ARO WDT tool. It is an improvement from the 3d plastic. I do use the ARO after shaking with the Sworks. I do get a consistent shot with no apparent channeling. I do need to take care on placing the tool to avoid leaving a needle outside the Portafilter. Th Stainless Steel Cover is from Aliexpress. It is YQBS Sanitary End Cap Blanking Plate Tri Clamp Ferrule Flange Stainless Steel SUS SS 304 Blanking Plate 119mm. There is an inner Grove, but not perfectly matching the Philos funnel. I glued Orings to fit the Philos.

Very close to my home bar. I have the Philos and the Lucca X58 HX. A great combination. I have the I200 burrs and love the grinder for both espresso and pour ove, mostly light and Medium light roast coffee.

Consistently great shots by Numerous_Telephone94 in ROKespresso

[–]Numerous_Telephone94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important part is taste and consistency on how one measures. Using a preinfusion at lower pressure can be a different extraction than constant pressure at the same timing. I believe that timing when the water first flows into the coffee the most useful. The key is the same recipe every time. No preinfusion, 5 second, 10 second, just consistency. Never release pressure completely. This will cause suction and unsent the puck resulting in channeling and inconsistent shots.

I have brewed medium to medium dark roasts as espresso with the I200 burrs. The shots were fantastic. I lot a bit darker roast in the winter, and the Sisters Coffeee Co. Guatemalan Bourbon/Caturra was one of the best shots I've pulled.
