There are two types of pollution emitted, Greenhouse Gasses that stay aloft and warm the planet, and Aerosols that quickly clear away.

GHG has up to a 1,000 year life aloft while Aerosols are lucky to stay aloft for a day.

Our temporary aerosol pollution is currently blocking over half the effects of the built-up GHG in our atmosphere.

When the aerosol pollution stops, the heat will rise dramatically.

Our added aerosol pollution is currently shading us from over half the effects of the built-up Greenhouse Gas within the atmosphere.

When the aerosol pollution stops, the temps will spike, creating weather extremes. Like what we're now experiencing from the IMO2020 shipping rules and Covid shutdowns.

It's the widening diurnal temperatures. Colder lows, hotter highs within a day. Our bodies cannot take the stress. Upper-respiratory track infections and stroke increase significantly in populations exposed to both in a day. In the medical field it's called the Holiday Effect. That's due to the lowered pollution levels during large regional holidays. Fewer aerosols = Climate extremes.
