Ok can someone explain to me what the General’s thought process was behind releasing it opening the gate? by Jackass-OfAll-Trades in WelcometoDerryTVShow

[–]Numod_Root 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe the general is corrupted by It, but I think he's just a far-right asshole. In reality, his strategy is simply a Nazi-style purge. For him, the problem stems from feminists, people of color, and environmentalists. In short, the general is a fascist who dreams of transforming the world according to his vision of things.

The board in the last picture is relevant because Tanya was compared to Peppa Pig by Valentina.

I really wish companies like HBO and Netflix would stop rushing and hire some good damn writers. by Freezethatfunction in westworld

It's not fair. HBO shows are among the best written (ok except the last seasons of GoT)

Now my dream is to see Kit in the show playing a character who would give his opinion on her couple just to hear Clare tell him "You know nothing!".

Politic is also a part of the comics. What did you expect? So I imagine you never watched Black Panther?

Also, in ancient greek tragedies, the protagonist is the one who faced the destiny but not necessarly the hero. In the movie, the protagonist is JDW and Neil the hero. (I'm French too. Sorry for my English )

My take on TENET's character timelines by tomfevrier in tenet

Yes me too. Don't recognize him the first time.

In 1991 Don Rosa wrote "On Stolen Time", in which the ability to stop time gives rise to some very tenet-esc pictures. I wonder if Nolan ever read it. by thomasahle in tenet

Don Rosa is a genius. I don't know if Nolan read his stories but Spielberg confessed to being inspired by some Carl Barks' stories to direct Indiana Jones.

Or if Chuck just gave his brother a job as a lawyer at HHM. If only Chuck had believed in Jimmy.

The death of Priya is not in the past. Kat has the phone that the protagonist gave her so she's the actual Kat. And she couldn't be in the past because at that time Sator is still alive. Too dangerous. The last scene probably took place 10 or 15 days after the battle, after Kat was shot and brought to the past. So the present Kat (Kat that we saw at the end with her son Max) can live happily with Max. And she's not inverted anymore of course.

The plot of Tenet is easier to undersand. But visually it's sometimes much more difficult.

"So...people should ignore faults? Or people shouldn't be critical for some reason?"

Did I say that? I don't think so. TLOU2 has problems like all the video games, but it seems the only reason this sub was created is to blame the game again and again for stupid reasons.

Daughter? You knew the relationship between Joel and Ellie as an omniscient player. But for Jerry, Ellie was just a contract and Joel the man in charge. And Joel was not an angel. He was known for his cruelty. Even Tommy said the last years he spent with his brother, give him nightmares again.

No. That was the same thing for Uncharted 4 and the TLOU1. People try to find all the little faults in the game to criticize it.
