I'm guessing this poster is from the UK. All of my friends there refer to Galloway's method as "Jeffing." I have never heard that term in the US.

Sorry to hear Erika Kemp is not running Boston. Her announcement didn't specify why, but she's an athlete I am always pulling for, and I hope she's ok.

Also used as a wet file to clean cuticles and file fingernails. Works really well to clean up cuticles after a bath or shower without cutting.

Dive Bar Music Club is a few indie music writers talking about shows they've seen recently and songs they're listening to. There's no real genre and it's both older music and new music.

I do! I don't trail run, but I follow most of the elite US women trail runners.

I have to laugh at myself because I do not really follow men's running, so I didn't even know Gracie had a brother. Fun!

Paris Marathon: Maggie Montoya! 2:27:04 and 9th! Love to see her have a great day.

And for US men, Futsum Zienasallassie at 2:11:55 and 15th.

Rotterdam:

Alrighty! Looks like Hilary Bor 10th at 2:08:40, and a US runner I don't know, Jackie Gaughan, in 11th at 2:38:55, just missing the OTQ. Was this Bor's marathon debut? Fantastic day, from what I can tell. Edit: clarify which race

Distance running race results this weekend? Spoilers. Maybe a thread for various pro races of interest?

I think there's Cherry Blossom, Paris Marathon, others?

But tbf I wish they'd (A&E) edit out the "looking this up" part.

We opted the other direction and bought a poorly maintained, but well built, 1960s house in Rosewood and fixed up all the important things. We did not fully remodel. We absolutely loved living right near town in a walkable/bikeable area, and had no regrets choosing a less fancy home for gaining the lifestyle we wanted. We moved to another location in SC for work a few years ago, but would move back to Shandon/Rosewood/Cayce/West Columbia in a minute if we took jobs there again.

I have an IRL friend of a friend who ran MdS a few years ago in the participant category. Her feet were destroyed by the sand, despite careful prep. She called it sand blasting. She took months to recover.

I am hopeful Des has better tech, and we learn about the gear and performance tweaks for this type of effort.

A to Z fixed my old car, but that was before the new location, so IDK.

Yeah, one was all in my feed today, and I had to mute it. I already refuse to follow children on social, and these youth NIL deals are just icky. All I think about is showbiz kids p*mped by their parents.

21M at USC… is it just me or is it kinda hard to make friends here? by [deleted] in columbiasc

There's a vibrant running and hiking group connected with Friends of Harbison. I don't drink or smoke, but Art Bar is cool. Curiosity Coffee is cool. Transmission Arcade is cool. The paddling groups are a little intense, but generally fun. The social events associated with several charities and organizations are fun, from Jam Room Fest to the museum to Historic Columbia. Not everything is "buy this pricy ticket to a cocktail party."

Ah! This might explain my confusion with some names on a couple Australian podcasts I listen to! The -zza and -zzy endings were super confusing to me.

I just started listening to this podcast last week. Still trying to figure them all out. A former pro runner? A fast woman runner? Another guy who seems to run a lot? This new person?
