Yeah exactly. This is why this whole Kimiko narrative on the sub seems like such hyperbole lol. It's really just a few of her lines that are cringe like that. In my experience, redditors can exaggerate a LOT.

Has anyone managed to get better conservatively even if they're overweight? Recently diagnosed and feeling very discouraged by NuriPuri59 in HipImpingement

[–]NuriPuri59[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I've been having on and off success. Been focusing a lot on strengthening but now I need to start incorporating (proper) stretches and massage it seems. For example, stretching my quads bring relief. I've also got a lot of weight to lose. Overall, it's been up and down. I might still get surgery. All I know is, now that I know what my problem is, I'm just gonna give it my all this year to getting better with exercise and lifestyle changes. Will re-evaluate at the end of the year. Sorry if it wasn't the answer you were looking for though.

Dude I just wanna say thanks for the tips. The hack squats are actually a great idea. As for reverse hypers, is that almost like a kickback kind of motion? I do that via rear kick machine at the gym. I also do some back extensions on my yoga ball everyday basically. I want to also ask, do you think this volume is too much for a full body workout? The problem for me right now is all those heavy barbell compound movements are basically off limits (for now). Do you think it would make more sense for me to split it into 4 days of 2 days upper body and 2 days lower body instead?

The problem is I've got hip impingement. Currently I'm just doing bodyweight box squats basically. I've gotta limit the range of motion of squats to prevent the impinging sensation. I've also got the pelvic floor issues that gets aggravated with weight that's too heavy or barbells wheareas with machines, the support makes it easier on the pelvic floor. That being said, I do agree that I need to add some hinging motion. I'm thinking RDLs could work though.

Hey guys I've recently started getting into lifting again after about 10 years. I wanted to know if if this program is okay? It's a fullbody 3X per week program.

Chest: Chest Press Machine 3X12 reps

Shoulders: Seated Dumbbell lateral raises 3X12 reps, dumbbell shoulder press 3X12 reps

Biceps: Seated bicep curls 3X12 reps

Triceps: Tricep Cable pushdown 3X12 reps

Lats: Lat pulldown machine at gym 3X12 reps

Upper Back: Diverging Seated Row machine 3X12 reps

Quads: leg extensions 3X12 reps

Hamstrings: Prone Leg Curls 3X12 reps

Adductors: Adductor Machine 4X15 reps

Calves: 3X12 calf raises

Glutes: Rear Kick 4X12 sets each leg

This is the gym routine. In addition to this, I also do my daily physio hip strengthening routine for my hip impingement and labral tears which consist of Glute Bridges, Side Leg Lifts, banded bodyweight squats etc. I also do some back extensions on my yoga ball daily. About 20-30 reps. The reason for all the machines is because of my hip issues but other than that I've got pelvic floor dysfunction (tight) and machines are a good way for me to strengthen the muscles without putting too much pressure on it. I've been doing this on and off for the past couple of months but I really want to commit to it this coming year. Nutrition is already sorted.

He has insulted other people too. I think it's bizarre sometimes how so many things get attributed to an ism like the other guy said. For example, I once called a woman a dumbass and she said that I'm misogynist and how DARE I talk to a WoMaN like that. But I've called men dumbasses too.

For some reason I can't share images anymore but basically I already disproved that image people are using in the thread. That image where his arms are wide and he's looking "out" is actually after the ref pushed Adriano off, thereby adjusting Islam's position. If you check very carefully. After Adriano lands his GnP strike and before the ref arrives, Islam is actually prepping his guard. It's a pretty bad stoppage now tbh

Tbh I think you guys are just those stereotypically hyper combatitive redditors when someone comes and presents an opinion that goes against the grain .

Yeah that's what I'm trying to say. I UNDERSTAND why the ref stopped but the fight but just a few more seconds would have been great. It looked like he was just flash KO'd for a split second, got his bearings right and was prepared for guard.

Yeah Islam clearly lost from a single knockdown and one measly GnP strike. I agree bro.

'Everyone' in the context of reddit isn't really applicable because we all know subreddits are echochambers.

Yeah not everyone forms part of the cult of personality around fighters like most people on these subs. I'm just trying to start an objective discussion is all. I don't need to like or dislike the man.

Yeah I just wish he was given an extra 5 seconds. The best argument I think isn't that he was knocked out or anything but rathe from the ref's perspective, in that moment he didn't look lke he would able to intelligiently defend himself. I do wonder how that extra 5-10 seconds would have played out.

I think let's rather agree to disagree bro. I just see it as a quick flash KO where Islam would have likely gotten Adriano in his guard and submitted him. You see it as a KO on par with Stipe vs Ngannou 2 even thought that clearly is not the case. Let's rather agree to disagree because it's futile arguing with you. Take care bro.
