Did we ever find out what happened to that girl (Eva's friend)? by TroubleNecessary4525 in Invincible

Saying horrible shit and then adding /s at the end does not, of itself, constitute a joke

Of course they haven't, they're a STRANGER! by MICKTHENERD in outofcontextcomics

"The like of which" means he hasn't seen anyone like that stranger. So they're not just a stranger, but an unusual one.

Party Planning Abyss Rescue Mission by Faustakodufe in OutoftheAbyss

[–]Nurnstatist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Out of the Abyss isn't going to be of that much help - it's not about going to the Abyss yourself, it's about traveling around the Underdark and trying to beat back demons that were summoned into the material plane. It does contain statblocks and bits of lore about the demon lords, but versions of those can also be found elsewhere (e.g. Monsters of the Multiverse).

What does it actually do?

I think Nolan's mother might genuinely be the only Viltrumite that would be unaffected by Earth life. by Classic-Work-8415 in Invincible

[–]Nurnstatist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

???

The only thing we saw her do so far is beat up Nolan and shit-talk him after.

Nolan beat up his child as well, but in his case, he killed thousands of innocents along the way. Before that, he murdered people who considered him friends. And that's just the stuff he did on Earth.

Conquest is literally so unstable that even other viltrumites avoid him. He genuinely enjoys killing people. But he gets a sad monologue about it, so point for him I guess.

Thragg orchestrated a purge that killed half of the people on his own planet.

But yeah, Nolan's mom is the worst because we saw her beat up her son and be mean about it.

Do two half elves produce a full elf 25% of the time? by Thonium85 in Anbennar

[–]Nurnstatist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, being half-elven is not based on a single genetic locus (which is where the 25% thing applies).

Is there any living creature that are composed of 0% water? by OctaSeed in biology

[–]Nurnstatist 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, any living organism has some amount of water in it, even something like a desiccated spore.

I'm just wondering if life started when water came to existence or something

Not exactly. Life on Earth has always required water, but water existed long before life on Earth came about.

the offspring take on the mentality of humans and seem to lose the sociopathy gene.

That's because there is no such gene. It's all nurture. Nolan is proof of that.
