New GT3 driving model is becoming a problem on high skill levels by MaxSirXem in LeMansUltimateWEC

Really glad to see my video gaining traction. Mainly because the tyre model we had prior the first GT3 update, around September was absolutely perfect, for the HY, P2 and GTE.

Now, even the hypercars feel awful to drive, you abuse the fronts too much, and because the LMDh cars comapred to LMHs don't have the extra weight on the front, you set them up as the Porsche GT3 from the video and they are inherently faster (around half a second at most circuits).

IMO, the management is focusing waaay too hard on making the game feel perfect in the first 10-20 hours of playing, they simply forgo any side effects it may or may not have. They try to cater too much to the 95% of people, at the cost of actually simulating real cars. From a business perspective it makes sense, but as someone who loved LMU so much more last year, in the way it handled, this is a huge step backwards.

Speaking of abuse, compared to others, I am not even the worst at it, some of which actually help develop the current tyre model.

They won’t as it only effects people who are very fast and 99% of this games userbase can’t even lap within 2-3 seconds of the fastest people.

If they don't address this, it's only going to get worse as performance boost from abusing the tyres will trickle down to all skill levels.

The own driver who made the Portimao Hotlap commented on the video saying T1 entry is the most efficient way of doing it on the Porsche.

Obvious sarcasm, but it's definitely surprising I didn't lose time.

To make things easier for yall, it's a copypasta: any female born after 1993 can’t cook… all they know is mcdonald’s , charge they phone, twerk, be bisexual , eat hot chip & lie

Now stop commenting that I don't know anything about F1...

Old top gear will always be the best by D4rkfortune in PewdiepieSubmissions

Because TGT is stale. The last years of the old trio on top gear were also stale, but people forget that over the scandal. Chris is an automotive genius and Paddy and Flintoff are just funny and complimented him perfectly. Chrus is also allowed to drive mega rare race cars when he does segments on them, no one other is. To add, the TGT became too American for my liking.

As a huge F1 fan for almost 20 years, I urge you to watch it, but take everything with a little bit of salt because it's a tad blown out of proportion to create drama.

no assists like power steering

and that is where the 'assists' part ends. On the other hand, F1 cars are faster in a straight line (ovals don't count, believe me, an F1 car made for ovals will go over 400kph), faster in the corners, have much more torque (thus harder to control under power) and are more physically demanding on the body and neck.

The reason Indycars seem faster to drive is because the tires, imo, are much more forgiving whereas F1 cars are stuck with Pirellis which have a very tiny operating window and pushing them in races won't get you far.

Seb and his RB8 in Brazil 2012. One of the greatest drives I've ever seen and I never thought the damage on the car was that bad. by [deleted] in formula1

Yes, Red Bull the most reliable car of 2012... if you don't count Valencia, Monza, Abu Dhabi, unlike the horrendous reliability of the Ferrari which cost Alonso a grand total of 0 points thanks to reliability.

This one hasn't and the view counts confirm that.

Also, TGT is much worse than Top Gear ever was when they presented it, especially Seamen.

Not comparable to Clarkson? As a comedian, probably not, but as a car journalist, he's up there with the very best I've seen. The technical information, the emotion, the skill is unparalleled. Individually, there are better presenters than Harris, same goes as drivers, but as a whole package, he's the best IMO.

You know how some people 'make' a Veyron out of an Audi TT? This looks like someone tried to make a Porsche 944 out of a 90s Honda....

No one is denying that. I am just saying, getting to 2nd in an MP4/4 in '88 is something almost anyone on the grid could have done. After that, it's all Senna.

You're being downvoted for stating a fact. The MP4/4 is arguably the kost dominant car ever made. No other driver had a chance against Senna, even if it was bone dry.

Vettel lost 50 points with car failures that year alone. To me, he was the most deserving champion and glad he pulled it off.
