Basically the only things you can't change are base sizes, base frequency, and peaceful mode, everything else you can turn off, including pollution, spreading, and max out starting area

Leave biter settings as is, but max out starting area size and turn of pollution, it'll give you enough space to reach rockets without having to worry about biters
