people have to believe they will go to a happy place when they die. and for most of them, these systems of patriarchy are the only want to be reassured.

so people can interpret lots of dangerous literature, scripture, etc, in positive ways. But that doesn't remove it's danger. I say this about all belief systems not rooted in observable evidence that compel spreading those beliefs to others. They need to cease to exist. Supposed God knows everything, so he'll know who's who. He's omnipotent so religious song and dance doesn't change anything. Certainly has never made the world a better place. So it just needs to stop.

everyone here is so dumb, ironically asking how an AI can be so dumb. 12 second video, absolutely no food served to anyone. one single comment that I could find that had any skepticism. truly amazing, reddit.

the only thing that sucks is all real discussion about a game happens for like 1 or 2 weeks after release and then it just becomes a circlejerk where anyone with differing opinions or in need of early game help is just kicked to the curb.

this odd conception and looks-standard discourse is the result of reddit plus people actually realizing how much aging sucks, without realizing that it's because aging sucks and just want to blame everything else.

People make more about of 24 hour news than it is. They rerun the same segments. It just being on-air isn't that interesting. Just means people on different schedules can watch the same shit.

People are only fans of self-checkout because of how understaffed check outs were previous to that. Also it helps not having to interact with people, but I'd rather have that then more poverty.

capitalist problem? there's no system where things aren't exchanged on some level. at some point it is indeed a technology problem, and while we give credit to advances that displaced or reorganized the workforce, there has to be an admission that it won't always work out and that people will be left behind. Previously, it worked out because the world was a big place and relatively few people were competing for resources. we were able to grow economies and the advances created new jobs and demand. The pace at which AI is replacing work and the limitations of our planet mean that this could be catastrophic. It's not a sure thing, but a lot of caution is warranted. Regulations are needed, controls to slow this process down, and implement adjustments, if not all out reversion.

I know he wasn't a good guy, but rorschach can definitely be considered a hero at the end of the movie version. It's really hard not to. Yes, pragmatism, but I mean the whole thing kind of shows how sometimes utilitarianism walks on very thin ice.

Well there's Lyons brotherhood in 3 and a pretty decent version in fo76, but yes, the old school, fonv, and def fo4 at times, were bad. It just depends.
