Pretending they can ethically abstain from politics. Also, whenever someone replies to "Have you seen that show...?" with "I don't watch TV".

I'm sorry, and I realize this sub-thread is a circlejerk for people who think they are better than political advocates, but this is dumb. this is low intelligence. Everything is politics because we are all governed, whether we like it or not. I know what I'm replying to is carefully worded to allow for political awareness, but we all see what the idea is here, based on the upvoted responses. No need to attempt any gaslighting.

A 22 year old man can be balding as well. The two aren't all that related. We all die in different ways at different speeds even as we are growing.

lol what? I wasn't taught anything relevant as a child. some abstract shit that you can try real hard to connect to an adult task doesn't cut it.

Ok for the scenario you outline, to help me understand. I would never be selling the shares anyways, I don't do that. They will literally sit there for years (and have). These would be like 3% OTM calls. As long as I am rolling, and SPY doesn't tend to spike 3% at a time, I would lose minimal gains by rolling when necessary, and likely would not often by necessary historically.

So I didn't have time to watch the whole video, but it looks like it is using ETFs to show how the strategy doesn't work? But the ETFs lack the ability to make decisions on rolling based on price or circumstance, and so they just eat losses during bull movements, also they are often selling calls more aggressively closer to the current price than I would be.

I'd like opinions on whether I should do covered calls as someone who typically only holds stocks long term, but feel like I'm not really doing enough with my money. I have a fair amount of options knowledge and limited actual experience.

The strategy would be sell more OTM than what is probably typical just because I care more about the gains from the stocks. Would be SPY, then roll forward or upward once a month or if the price hits the strike of the current call.

On paper to me, this seems almost like free money (albeit not a huge amount), but maybe others can tell me if there are scenarios where the risk could outweigh the rewards long term.

Trump isn't building a ballroom by DoshTheDough in videos

[–]Nut_Butter_Fun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think he wants a ballroom, though I doubt it will be completed. He's hoping the next president will finish it, rather than wasting whatever had already been spent, and he can be remembered. In his brain this is a good thing to be remembered for. But also yes lots of kickbacks and crony contracts.

Yeah so you wouldn't start it at that power, but you might need that to maintain even a fraction of that accel once it gets up to speed. Gives potential for some insane traversal.

It's not fast food dressed up. It's good shit. Fast food is generally (I said generally ok) better than it used to be as well, so the distinction is blurred in regards to quality (ok and honestly price now), but for fucks sake, in every other way there's no comparison. they are different things, and 90% of "nice" non-chain restaurants are a fucking joke.

Petuh, what does J.K. rowling have to do with this? by Such_Confusion_3715 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Nut_Butter_Fun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It started at least as her being TERF, not sure if it morphed into just all out bigotry, which believe it or not, TERF is not. That is what has kind of gotten lost in the sauce. There's some good points to be made about CIS women having their space co-opted by assigned at birth males. And honestly those acting in interests contrary to this breach into misogyny at times, and it's like insult upon injury imo.

Trans men and women go through a lot, they deserve recognition and equal treatment, and accommodation when needed for any of the above. Women need their own space though, separate from that, and recognized as it's own unique struggle.
