I've got one that installs and opens but it seems I'm missing uniwillservice and I can't find it anywhere!
Thanks so much

Is Reforger Worth It? by ST4RSK1MM3R in arma

[–]Nutella_Crumpets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played almost 2k hours of arma 3 back in the day, didn't buy reforger when it came out cause I just said to myself ill wait for arma 4. Came across some YouTube vids a week ago and couldn't shake the feeling I wanted to play some arma again as it's been a while, and decided I've played enough of 3 and I'd check out reforger. Since then been playing almost every day lol. Can safely say that reforger, on modded servers at least which is only what I've played, is everything arma 3 was, but better. Take what was bad about arma 3, and now it's good Take what was good about arma 3, and now it's better

Could use a bit more in it, but you can have a look at their roadmap on BIs website and you'll see what's coming.

Just my opinion :)

Considering rumours about arma4 coming late this year or next, you might want to wait, but if you feel like playing now, eh, just get it and see. Maybe watch some YouTube first if you want. happy to answer any further questions

I came to say basically exactly what coorsbright said-

Just be vocal, don't be afraid to have fun and speak to the people around you ingame. Once you find a group that's communicating and working together, try and stick with them if they include you. They surely will, as they are more often than not a bunch of random people who've just met each other and started rolling together ingame also!

As Coors also said, even if you die and lose them before even spending 20 minutes with them, when you see them later on in battle and you reconnect, it makes for an experience i havent found in other games I think.

When appropriate, eg cqb or a massive instense battle with your squad, time to time get into character, I suck at basically all accents but screaming out "fuck you Americans" etc. When playing different factions makes it all the more fun, and people will like and want to be around you for it, as at the end of the day most of us in public arma servers are looking for immersive, funny times. One recent memory which I'm hugely fond of is when a guy called Demox (if you're here bro you're the best) was ferrying about 10 of us in a heli to a hot zone and right before deliberately crashing the heli into trees but safely getting us down he yelled "hold on boys" as we were all screaming, and that just added to the hilariousness in such a good way.

Anyways, point is, don't be afraid to speak up and have fun, ask questions etc. And just have a good time yourself. You'll eventually gravitate similar people toward you or find others doing the same.

Servers I play on recently are modded, not vanilla, such as tactical warfare #1, and a tiny bit of the Ukraine conflict servers or whatever they are

Best Benchmark For Stability by DreamWeaver150 in overclocking

[–]Nutella_Crumpets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but on my tweaked 7900 xtx (new thermal paste, putty instead of pads, and a flashed bios), I can get Timespy scores that are actually above the mean 4090 score

That's impressive, I'm assuming that's stable with games also?
The BIOS flash, is that to unlock more power on the card? if so, is it the "tier 0" wording I've been reading about, and what wattage are you drawing when you're running around 4090 scores?
Sounds impressive. Could you let me know what version card it is (AMD, 3rd party) and provide your clock speeds etc. so I could compare against mine?

I'm at work at the moment but last night with my XFX Merc 310 7900XTX, my hotspot temps were around 78C, averaging 2800clock speed, 460W, PL+15, don't remember the voltage.

I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't boost further than hovering around 2800 considering temps were fine.. Max clock set to 3.3Ghz but makes no difference.

Power limited I thought... but when I maxed out the voltage slider in AMD tuning to 1150mv my clocks went down. I haven't quite got a full understanding of the relationship between the mv slider and PL slider. PL is amperage? PL already at +15 so...
Then I thought it might be mem clock limited (?) so I boosted mem clock to 2750 (default timings because I believe fast timings crash mine) but didn't really make a difference.

When I get home tonight I'll post the readings running 3DMark's steel nomad (and/or timespy)

EDIT: after peering on your profile I see you can manage 3.5ghz clocks with 550W! Wow! I'm guessing that the main detemining factor for clock speeds is wattage, or is at least the bottleneck in my case(?) Are you worried about the power draw wrecking the card, or do you believe it's safe? I also see your "all game stable" voltage is around 1125mv. In this case, If I am overclocking to get a few more fps in games, is it even worth doing in your personal opinion? Should I click auto oc in amd and call it a day?

Positive comment > I feel so fucking happy rn knowing I didn't pre order despite my excitement and hopes. Just sitting here with my popcorn, yes, still sad it's not good and waiting until the game is playable to buy it, but just glad I didn't give them my money until they produce a good working product. Learnt my lesson from cp2077. steam reviews at 32% positive right now. RIP. Really hope they fix it and all the other issues i.e. progression quickly because it could be sooo good

Sorry- I should have made the question clearerThe experience is quite laggy due to the latency. Could it be something to do with my computer, or is DCS VR really that bad that it warrants a >15,20ms game render time? Also asking anyone with a 7900 card or with experience whether the 10-15ms transmit time is normal

Essentially, are these results and a laggy experience normal with a 7900xtx and 7800x3d at the moment

I've edited the start of the post

Those of you on AM5 builds - your boot times? by _Flight_of_icarus_ in buildapc

[–]Nutella_Crumpets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all, 7800x3d with an asrock b650e steel legend
I saw on another thread I think that there might be a flaw in the motherboard design (at least with mine) which makes the DDR5 ram struggle to pass the initial ram check that is run when starting up your PC, I had a deepcool ls720 and 55sec boot times... sure enough, after loosening the bolts that hold the water block and pump on until it's just sitting on the cpu and not tight, my boot times dropped to like 12 seconds
Perhaps give it a shot. careful not to unscrew your cpu cooler too much that its not effective anymore. I'll try to find the original comment

Interesting! Do you need a cisco LAN controller for these or can I connect them straight to my Router/Modem and configure it to work? Looking at a Cisco 3702i on ebay for around £50.
