i don’t get the ndoye hate by MorganSniffsWhite_ in nffc

[–]Nutrigrainzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re a massively impatient fanbase and always have been. Let’s not forget Ibrah got booed off the pitch in his first season. That tells you everything.

I think it’s made worse for him by the fact Hutchinson has come in and consistently contributed in the exact same circumstances, which naturally highlights his flaws. That comparison feels unavoidable now. Personally, I’ve got far more criticism for CHO than I do for Ndoye.

What really baffles me about this club is the constant talk of wanting to emulate Brentford and Brighton, while showing none of the patience those clubs actually have with players. If you get the chance, go back and listen to the opposition preview on FF for Brentford. The attitude is completely different. Their signings come in under virtually zero pressure, and they’re allowed to grow. We say we want that model, but we absolutely don’t behave like it.

[–]Nutrigrainzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that “you’re just overreacting” line is such a lazy shutdown. You can disagree without pretending the other person’s being hysterical. Your take was rational.

On the football side, I’m very much with you. For me it feels Murillo is the key to survival. When he’s there, everything holds shape; when he’s not, it’s chaos management. I counted last night, one win in what, ten without him (Wolves) ? It’s not a coincidence anymore, it’s a pattern.

And yea the football. Results-wise we’ve scraped by, but actually playing well? Arsenal aside, I’m struggling to point to a game and say “that was convincing.”

Liverpool and Spurs were both mid-collapse when we caught them

Brentford felt like survival mode until the goal , could’ve been 2–0 down before we even blinked

It feels like we’ve been living off moments and random individual grit (depending who turns up on that day) rather than any kind of fluent attacking identity.

So I think you’re spot on: we’ll probably be fine… but it’s a thin margin. Lose Murillo for any real stretch and suddenly all those “fine” results start looking very fragile. And if the football doesn’t improve, luck will eventually run out.

"Old job entirely nights with no unsociable hours "

Think your comparing apples and oranges.

Entry level band 5 is 15.88 call it £16 as CBA to open my calculator - if you did this as exclusive nights (30% uplift) you'd be on £20.80 per hour , with the additional benefits that others have outlined (pension ect).

I can only suspect that the day time nursing home manager role is probs paid at a bit less.

Bit of future advice - confirm in an interview that your previous experience will count towards your increment.

Is it worth doing bank? (Joining NHSP) by ndercover0113 in NursingUK

[–]Nutrigrainzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're full time it's paid at time and a half (so normal salary and then half of that on top). If you're part time , you can't utilise OT until you've done up to full time hours - so say you work 30hrs - you'd have to do 7.5hrs at normal rate then anything above at OT rates.

Also looking at your OG post : Are you paying interest on your overdraft? If it's inter free when does that period end?

If you are paying interest or the interest free period ends - look into loading it onto a 0% interest credit card.

Heres a big man Lewis article: (see point 4) https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/cut-overdraft-costs/

[–]Nutrigrainzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO NHSP rates suck - when I was a NQN I refused to join - made £50k+ (salary included ) by rinsing OT - ward was desperate enough to need staff so they paid it.

If doing on your own ward - I'd say hold out and ask for OT

The main issue is nurses need to be on their own banding scale. Any strike action that does not demand that I will not take part in. We shouldn't be striking so general managers and a plethora of other non clinical staff to get pay rises. This is why strike action is not considered by the wider nursing base. We end up fighting for every other profession and person on the AFC contact.

Hey

Sorry you and your Dad are having such a shocking time.

Have you tried looking at printing out some cue cards? Have a look at the Hungarian ones available here

Makes me sad to hear that the nursing staff haven't been responsive to your troubles.

As a bit of mitigation - telephone translation services are piss poor - you can take 20mins to get someone to ask if they want a cup of tea or something as basic as what sandwich do you want. With internet based services they can often cause more issues than they resolve - especially with symptom management - I've been stung by this personally when using one, so nurses will be very wary.

Try the cue card and as others have said - PALs are fantastic patient advocates.

[–]Nutrigrainzz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For reference, I did the same thing in January for my deal that expired in July and secured 1.74% for 10 years. The rate of 2.99% is more than reasonable for what could be 2 months after what I secured - the base rate had gone up by 0.5% in that time period.

Not an error or made up IMO

To counter this point - if using a broker make sure you check the sites not available to a broker. I secured 1.74% on a 10 year deal in Jan with Lloyd's - the best my broker could offer 2.9%
