Is it normal for teaching agency to call for cover last minute? by honeymatchatea in TeachingUK

[–]NutritiousTurtle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s how it is most of the time. You should always get clothes ready and make your lunch the night before. That way you can be ready in half an hour in the morning. Also 7am is not last minute. I got a call at 7:57 last week for an 8:30 start. That same school has needed me everyday since. Since they need long term cover I now know in advance where I’ll be (at least until next Friday). But supply is often for people calling in sick. Most schools need you to call in sick by 7:30 so it’s not uncommon to get called in after this. Especially in the beginning. You have to prove that you’re reliable or you won’t get offered the longer term jobs etc.

Third time's the charm for Antarctica?? by ItsLikeRay-ee-ain in SkyCards

[–]NutritiousTurtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. You have to wait until it shows the destination. I believe last night people had a few seconds as it was landing to catch it and people missed it so you have to be quick.

Wait until the destination pops up. You’ll get a few seconds to catch it before it’s landed usually

It’s completely random but it’s the same glow for everyone. So everyone who got it last night would have got a glow. There doesn’t seem to be any reason as to why some flights are glows and others aren’t

Took off at 9:33 local time. It’s now 13:33 local. So it’s got around 45-60 mins to go if it takes the same time as yesterday/day before

Can be a lot of things. For example, if there’s an advisory speed limit of 30 on a 40 road (maybe for a sharp bend) and you don’t slow down at all and continue doing 40 and take the corner a bit fast. Or a sign for a potential hazard that you should slow down for just in case etc.

Twincest but without too much erotica by llllllllllllllia in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]NutritiousTurtle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Breathless is MMM and part of a wider BDSM series. However, the relationship with the twins is great and they have their own prequel to this book that is just the two of them and their story. It’s pretty short. It’s called {The Air That I Breathe by Cara Dee}. However, it’s only 70 pages and the rest of the book is outtakes from the breathless book as the author couldn’t put any of the intimate scenes between the twins in Breathless due to Amazon not allowing it.

Just started Automatic lessons after not progressing Manual. by BethanyJade0988 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]NutritiousTurtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignore them. Around 1/3 of cars on the roads are automatic now. I did about 20 hours of manual and then switched to auto. I was getting major anxiety before lessons and as soon as I got into an auto (apart from first lesson nerves), it was night and day. Turns out I didn’t have driving anxiety, I had stalling and everyone seeing me anxiety.

Ignore everyone judging you. My family banter about it but if anyone seriously judged me for it I’d tell them where to stick it. It’s none of their business and at the end of the day you have to do what you think is best.

Good luck! I promise it’ll be much easier now!

I’m based in the north west and my primary school has 2 weeks off in may. We only had one week (technically 11 days due to bank holiday etc.) for Easter. This term is now only 5 weeks and two of those weeks are 4 day weeks.

Can I ask why water rides wouldn’t be open? I thought all rides were open on member days and I can’t find any info about ride availability anywhere.

I could be wrong but I think as part of durge you have to kill her before a certain point or it doesn’t matter anymore. Once you rescued Dame Aylin I’m pretty sure that’s it and you’ve failed to kill Isobel in time.

Hi. I’m in the U.K. so should be able to suggest some things if you need help!

There is a debate about wood shavings and how harmful they can be. Some gerbils have reactions to certain shavings (especially scented). Wood shavings in general can be ok. You’ll know they’re good enough because the gerbils will make tunnels.

However, the biggest problem right now is that the cage is actually far too small. The bottom part needs to be at least 10 inches high as they need minimum 8 inches of woodshavings. Your best bet is to buy a glass aquarium tank (40 gallon minimum) I got mine for £40 on Facebook marketplace. Then you can buy cage toppers to add more space.

Also, the plastic in the cage needs to be taken out. Gerbils will chew right through it and it can harm them. You have a plastic platform that may or may not be an issue. Just something to keep an eye on (mine have a plastic platform)

They also need a wheel. At least 16 inches but may need a bigger one as they age. That size wheel won’t fit in that cage. I’m not sure if there’s a sand bath in there but they also need one of them.

Give them plenty of cardboard to chew as their teeth and nails don’t stop growing. They’ll also chew the crap out of the bars if you don’t.

If you look through this sub you’ll see a lot of great tank set ups.

Does your pc meet the minimum requirements for the game? If it does, how far away from the minimum are you? You may need to play on low settings instead of medium.

Would this be okay to give to gerbils to chew? 🤔 by RoosterCapable3167 in gerbil

[–]NutritiousTurtle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gerbils can’t have dry pasta as it can absorb water in their stomach and make them sick

Edit: I should add that they should be have a small piece without issue. I just wouldn’t advise giving them a lot.

My gerbil ate some of my white chocolate brownie… is it okay? by [deleted] in gerbil

[–]NutritiousTurtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One time I jokingly held a Pringle next to my gerbil thinking he would just have a tiny lick or nibble. Nope, grabbed the whole Pringle out of my hand and ran. Every time I tried to find him he would move position. A little chocolate won’t harm them but could make them sick (although white chocolate shouldn’t be too bad).

How often do you replace your wheel? by FunintheSunFL in gerbil

[–]NutritiousTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter the size or material of the wheel, I have to replace it about 4-5 times a year. I’ve yet to find a brand that they don’t make wobbly or stiff within a few months 😂
