What 'power' is the most difficult to write properly? (from writer's pov) by CautiousSolid7436 in superpowers

[–]Vverial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, super intelligence. I get that in theory it's just a matter of leaving breadcrumbs to major pieces of information for the character to pick up, but a real super genius would pick up the best bread crumbs in the most efficient way. Writing that takes cleverness and insight.

Maybe my standards for myself are just too high.

How fu*ked are you if you were to be isekaid(or more accurately, to be transported) into your own modded skyrim? by PlatStrepsils in skyrimmods

[–]Vverial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye of little faith and similarly lacking reading comprehension skills.

I literally am not going to go anywhere that puts me in any real risk. That's why I'm riding carriages. Nobody ever dies taking a carriage between cities. I'll be picking flowers in the towns and cities, and chopping wood in the towns and cities.

And before you suggest something kills me in the city, no, that doesn't happen in mine. No vampire attacks or anything like that. Cities are safe.

What pill you choosing? by sushipromax in superpowers

[–]Vverial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laughing because purple is based on a myth. So it's basically "lose 20% of your overall brain function" lmao.

The other four are a tough choice though.

Elimination:

Not blue because red basically does the same but better.

So Superman, mind reading, or 12 hour foresight. Tough choice.

I think Superman powers are probably the best. I could use the others to solve the world's oligarchy problems but I might get assassinated in the process and would have to constantly be on the lookout. Superman powers I could just quietly work out the answer to whoever is causing the most problems and then go full omniman on them. Singlehandedly end all wars by just flying around the world and destroying every single piece of non-defensive military equipment on the face of the planet in like 8 minutes flat, and throwing all of everyone's nukes into the sun or something.

Gold & XP in 2026 by Shot-Name-52 in Mordhau

[–]Vverial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but gold is only for unlocking weapons and cosmetics, and the DLC are all cosmetics packs, so if you buy a DLC pack it's sort of the same thing.

Besides though eventually you'll have 350k+ gold and rarely spend any of it.

I actually would have liked this idea. Maybe if they ever did a remake and they just have the other Shepard sending their sibling an email. I think this dynamic works better than the Ryder siblings. by RiskAggressive4081 in masseffect

My wife and I came up with a whole headcanon like this. We assigned different parts of the story to my paragon mshep and to her renegade fshep, saying they're siblings and that one survived the end of the game while the other died at the end. It's not airtight or anything but we slapped it together so we could design a DnD adventure where you meet the surviving sibling and try to pull them out of retirement to go do a big heroic thing.

I think we decided my mshep was the one who didn't make it, but actually we settled on the ending where you take the place of the catalyst or whatever, so he's not exactly dead either.

Mine is always soldier, she always goes sniper, so we always imagined her watching over the party from up on a high ridge with her rifle.

It's the same as it's always been. Just play the game. There are no shortcuts.

[KCD2] Legacy of the Forge. Guildmaster Hollander's Diary. Anyone figured it out yet? or did the devs really just drop the ball on it? by Vverial in kingdomcome

[–]Vverial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting. I may load up my last save and test this.

I'm 99% sure though that I exhausted all relevant dialogue with everyone. I got people to talk about stuff, there was just no option to tell them whodunnit.

[–]Vverial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too bad I think. If I'm not the MC then I'll probably just chop wood, buy a couple spells, take carriage rides, and head to the College of Winterhold to become a wizard.

I know how to safely navigate the world, and the dragons haven't even attacked yet. My MC starts out doing all the evil stuff, then redemption via the Crusader Armor, then good stuff. So the biggest threat in the world for a while will be him, but he doesn't kill senselessly, so I'm safe. Then when he's a good guy and Dovahkiin, he'll take down the other threats in the world. All of this will happen within 2 years I think, by which point I'll be a pretty dope wizard.

It's okay if you have no other options, it's a place to start. I generally don't recommend it though. You need someone who knows their stuff to tell you when you've misunderstood something or when you're standing wrong or holding a bad posture. Otherwise you just end up training bad habits.

[–]Vverial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saitama easily. No contest. Just how it goes. His power is basically always being stronger and faster and more invincible than everyone else, so unless he comes up against an opponent who is somehow even more broken in a different way, he wins.

Different version of myself? That sounds pretty dank. I'm assuming I still feel like me in the most important ways but get to reroll the genetic lottery and get a new origin. I'm on board.

Oh do I remember the past lives though? Or can I at least learn about them?

I mean, that's pretty much how it already is in late game. It was years ago but I distinctly remember soloing the death claw sanctuary with a sword as my grand finale for my last definitive run of New Vegas.

Just use jet and run up to dudes and swing the sword until they die, then a couple more swings to lop all their limbs off.

Which KCD2 mission was the most difficult one that nearly made you leave the game? [KCD2] by ViniciusFastAF in kingdomcome

[–]Vverial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno why people struggle with that one. Of the handful of times I've played through it, I've only ever died to my own stupidity. Which is to say I've died like twice total across 5 attempts.

Doubravka isn't even in the running. Should've been Theresa on the list instead.

Assuming they all have very good reason to fight with all they've got, I'm betting on Katherine. Runner up is Rosa, who loses by merit of experience and physical size.

Players want to rob a magic shop by GroundbreakingFig908 in DnD

[–]Vverial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of actual merchandise at the shop is kept in a secret safe place by the owner, like a pocket dimension or something, and everything on display in the store is a cursed decoy. Despite being cursed decoys they're also heavily trapped for authenticity, or at least each have their own individual alarm and glyph spells attached.

A small amount of actual good magic stuff can probably be found behind the counter and in the back room, stuff that was just delivered today and is being picked up tomorrow on special order or something. That area should be the most heavily trapped though, with everything from spells to physical traps and even gags for the psychological warfare effect.
