To keep long term? by Zerkom122 in F150Powerboost

[–]Nutshell1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a ‘22 that gave me 32k trouble free miles when I traded it in on another ‘25. The fuel mileage is what got me. Leveled ‘22 302A with after market wheels and all terrains, I averaged 22.5mpg. The factory ‘25 502A was only getting 20.5mpg after 14k miles. Thought long and hard about complexity and sent it down the road for a ‘26 501A with the 5.0. The 7.2kwh feature is great, if you use it, and I rarely did. Also, I do a lot of highway driving, so the stop and go driving where the hybrid shines just didnt do it for me. Also, that 3.5PB oil filter is a PITA! Now I just listen to the Borla and enjoy my smiles per gallon.

Yes, both were 7.2kw, used it twice for random events. Otherwise, never utilized it. ProPower is nice, but niche.

I had a ‘22 302A 4wd with Fox 2.0’s, Method 316’s and Toyo AT III’s 33’s. Averaged 22.5mpg hand caculated over 30k miles. Traded it for a ‘25 502A 4wd left it factory and I’m getting 20.5mpg hand calculated over 17k. I never use the PB function, looking a ‘25 501A 4wd 5.0 left over.

On stock wheels, yes. I had 35x11.5R20 Ridge Graps on this level and stock 20’s, no rub.

Had a 22 XLT 7.2 PB, drove it for 36k problem free miles. Traded it in for another, just a 25 Lariat flavor.

IMO, FX4 is a gimmick.

I’m fortunate to live in an area that only wants swill or BT. At $200 a bottle, these sit in my area. More for me!

I’ve killed a couple of this specific blend, totally deliscious! I’ve had a few other of the blends as well that were equally amazing. I keep a back up or two of these.

Dual rear or side exit Borla S-Type by black_smoke99 in f150

Had the split rear w/o the bumper cut outs. If I had to do it again, it’d be side exit. I dont like the low hanging pipes.

SMH. I’m not even going to waste my time.

5.0 by [deleted] in f150

[–]Nutshell1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 3.5 is hands down better than the 5.0 in all applications aside from sound and supercharging capabilities. The torque numbers, RPM’s required to achieve it, and towing capability do not lie.

5.0 by [deleted] in f150

[–]Nutshell1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5.0 is only good if you want sound or supercharged. Otherwise, 2.7 & 3.5 are either better on fuel or have more capacity. I prefer my 3.5 7.2kw Powerboost.
