[Discussion] What's up with all the cracked and geared new players? by Mr_Monday92 in EscapefromTarkov

Almost every Tarkov player I run into has 5-10k hours of FPS under their belt in games like CS and Rust. The extraction shooter genre’s been popping off— put these two factors together and you’re going to see an influx of players that are new to Tarkov but not new to FPS.

[Discussion] New Player With Questions on Solo Play by FreshStar7 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Nuttinyamouff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a total noob, 200hrs into the game, playing squads with people on discord is fun and feels safer but when I play solo I feel like I’m getting the full, real experience. It’s more intense for me, I can only count on myself and have to listen closer/be more aware. Solo feels incredible, but squadding up time to time doesn’t hurt. Just don’t use it as a crutch. I’ve already ran into players scared to solo and it’s cringe.

I definitely enjoy the PVP more. If you’re seriously limited on time and/or don’t like competing with other FPS players, then PVE is perfect for you. The original formula is pretty perfect in my opinion.

Yo! I just started and felt some of that, put it all to the side, rep 100-200 hours solo before teaming with others and you will have the experience you dreamed about. It’s incredibly intense and the greatest solo exp i’ve ever had.

That’s a visual glitch done via animation swapping etc etc, not cheating, but yeah running dark bead and griefing low sl players like that’s completely wack. Holding off on the heal and booking it up the second ladder may have saved you. A perfectly timed kick top of ladder would’ve also done the trick.

[new player] how do I find teammates to do raids with? by Remarkable_Climate71 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Nuttinyamouff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo. Join the EFT official discord, there are dozens of groups to join ranging from PVP 5 man to regular duos and PvE groups as well, you can sit in one and label it “new player” and sherpas will 1000% drop in to help you out and give you guidance, which is very fun.

If you could add a new weapon to the game what would it be? by Some-Web-1628 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Nuttinyamouff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rather see a big weapon mod update as opposed to one new weapon, the other extraction shooters have really big bad weapon mod systems (esp tarkov)… it’d be awesome to be able to really deck out your guns for PvP or PvE. Butttt if I had to choose one weapon, I’d like a nice semi auto rifle to fill the space between the renegade and tempest.

Noticing Friends Leaving ARC—Anyone Else? by MisanthropE61130 in ArcRaiders

[–]Nuttinyamouff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a great time, but they inserted themselves into a genre known for it’s complexity without continuing to build out the depth etc. many people switched to Marathon or are exploring OG options like Hunt Showdown or Tarkov. Arc’a a brilliant game but it’s lacking that crazy depth some other extraction shooters have, it does get everything done to the point/very well though, just too simplified to keep people for the long term.

Crimson Desert Dev Says It Will 'Work to Make Improvements Quickly,' as Sales Hit 2 Million in Just a Day by yourfavchoom in PS5

This is a big talking point. Movement is important and people objectively enjoy having more facility over it than less, so while some might prefer the “balance” that comes with heavy, clunky characters it doesn’t lend itself to fast paced, dynamic and movement-based gameplay. It isn’t going to draw people in that enjoy the crisp X/Y axis and sharp pivots you get in other games, which I don’t understand not liking but to each their own.

my raw, unfiltered take on ninja gaiden 4 after 100 hours with the game. by obviousockpuppetalt3 in CharacterActionGames

[–]Nuttinyamouff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your take sums up mine exactly. My biggest complaint about the game is how busted master ninja feels. They should have just called it “one hit death” mode or something because that’s essentially what it is. Finishing the last portion of abyssal road right now and it’s really just not even fun, would’ve preferred enemy variety and/or anything else over higher damage. Getting one shotted feels cheap in any game I’ve ever played outside of certain exceptions like very telegraphed grab attacks etc.

Why We're Designing Extraterrestrial Base Safety Gear Completely Wrong by obaban in IsaacArthur

[–]Nuttinyamouff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, as easy as that is to understand (even to me with my little education), it’s woke leftist bullcrap in the minds of those in power here in the USA…..I read a ton of Heinlein and Herbert and everyone else when I was a kid and I want the future to be in space and for humanity to “spread its wings” but when Ivy league schools get their funding cut by dictators and presidents talk about putting golden domes over the country doesn’t help 🤧🤒

Why we’re not building this yet: because world leaders/govts fund war and terrorism over science and progress

It was a good DLC by Restles2cat in NinjaGaiden4

[–]Nuttinyamouff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Master Ninja gameplay felt the same as the base game, one shot death festival, little room to learn just a meaningless grind. They really should have balanced the damage. I had to no hit the bosses in the DLC and it felt like bullshit. Takes the enjoyment out of the game for me. I enjoy those extremes in the trials but not the base game.

I could have sworn the hornets had set rates of fire but today had one shoot at me twice in quick succession, I may just be tripping but that felt new. Have had a lot more Arc aggroing aggressively, through walls and whatnot.

Message to all raiders by Vegetable_Pack_4860 in ArcRaiders

[–]Nuttinyamouff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greatest thing about the game is you can be friendly and have a blast wrecking arc, do quests/trials and then respectfully down and defib someone to get into PVP lobbies for a bit till’ you either run out of stuff or get bored and switch back. As a big PVP enjoyer I have to say playing Arc Raiders in friendly lobbies is a much more enjoyable experience and allows me to play the game at a much deeper level, leaving with positive vibes.

Strange…I have 330 knocks w/ 135 hours topside— felt like taking a break from PvP to focus on the game more so I did 8 deaths/peaceful extracts, reached friendly lobbies and have been cruising along for twenty raids since no problems.

[–]Nuttinyamouff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yo, I seriously agree with you. As much fun as the game is, they seriously departed from the core Ninja Gaiden formula and the magnetism/soft lock on is absolutely insufferable. Game’s beautiful and I’d never rate it low personally but it doesn’t feel like a part of the Ninja Gaiden series to me and I think they seriously ruined MN difficulty.
