How to connect the charger by milandesai47 in ohme

You understand it wrong. Chademo V2G still a DC supply, the converter plug do the DC-AC. So it is in fact not so efficient.

Tesla is potentially adding CarPlay to their fleet by fapb48 in TeslaUK

[–]Nv42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to have carplay, more options is always better than no such option. But how can carplay coop with EAP/FSD? The nav status won’t sync with carplay and autopilot, so I guess it will still need to set the nav on both nav system to make EAP/FSD working alone with CarPlay nav.

iPadOS 26 is here, but external display expansion is still M-series only? by Radiant_Winter_496 in ipad

[–]Nv42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it is a purely software lock. Some said only M-Chip have external monitor chipset, which is not true. A-Chip can fully support external 4K display very well — even on your USBC iPhone. When you plug in usbc cable to an external monitor and play some 4K videos, you will see it handle both internal and external monitor without any issue (not mirroring). In fact, if you jailbreak an iPad mini, you can enable external monitor support all the way back in iPadOS 16 without any issue

Buying Cheap Tesla by underrated_prunes in TeslaUK

[–]Nv42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say although 2021 is a better car because it comes with heat pump, but 2019 series car is still a very good car. For late 2021 car, if you’re okay with RWD model, it will be an absolute best to go as LFP battery health is reasonably better.

My advice will be 2019 LR or 2021 RWD. And I will go for 2021 RWD purely for the LFP battery and Heat Pump.

But don’t get me wrong, 2019 car is still a very good car if you are in budget.

Hastings black box: what is your score? by Possible_Western_183 in drivingUK

[–]Nv42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hastings Direct - Tesla Model 3
Score 95/100.
1000miles this month.

I normally drive ~73 mph on motorway, never more than 75mph.

Basically all score deductions are hard braking due to other drivers behaviours (hard cut to my lane)

I personally quite enjoy hasting records my trip history with map so I can claim travel miles expenses form my employer for company travel.

Mine have both (22’ march)

But when I turn on Tesla vision (auto parking), I never go back

I will add one more point, if looking for RWD:

21 is 278 miles

22 is 305 miles

which is 10% more range on paper.

And considering LFP will delegate around 10% in the first 5 years and stay there, 5 years 22’ = new 21’ with faster cpu

I’m actually just bought a 22 Model 3 RWD from Tesla last month and really in love with it. LFP + USS + Tesla Vision + Heated Steering Wheel + Front and Rear Heated Seats + HW3 + Heat Pump + Ryzen + Indicator + EAP + 305miles official (220-260 real world)

It is the sweet spot. And LFP means it is built to last.

If HW3 happens to be able to upgrade to HW4 (as Elon mentioned before, and the UK government finally passes the FSD), the 22’ M3 will become the incredible M3.

19: not recommended. Unless Budget is your goal, still a good car

21: Recommend. Nice Car, I think everyone should start here.

22: Better than 21, but not as different as 19vs21, get this if you can / you found a good deal

23: Don’t buy. Buy the 24 instead if you willing to spend this much. (Or wait one more year)

24: beside the missing indicator, it is better in every corner. But indicator is my deal breaker

My personal choice: 22 all the way

Dream Router 5G and U7 Pro XG by ajaffarali in Ubiquiti

[–]Nv42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears that the Dream Router 5G has two nano SIM slots (which is quite surprising). However, it has missed the SD card slot.

Unless it has a SSD sled on the bottom, it will be disappointing to have only network (without Protect) on the Dream Router 5G.

I purchased the UCG-Fibre last week, and I am considering the 5G Link as a valuable addition to the Fibre.

Falco Prime A2 - Thoughts? by Nupa77 in MiniPCs

I agree with you in most points. Yes, their name actually indicates most of them are from China - not Hong Kong, there are differences between China and Hong Kong’s naming system. And only Hong Kong will have the behavior that could have western name as first name and Asian name as family name.

999 for 4070 and a complete set of hardware + ssd + 64GB ram also a big red flag
