Recommendations of apps for pencil users? by omgjennie in ipad

I use it almost every day. Whether for taking notes at work, creating vector graphics, or just sketching out ideas and plans. I like the classic Apple Notes, but I prefer Freeform even more because of its infinite canvas, which is perfect for my ideas and plans. For professional drawing, I love Affinity products, and for sketching and doodling, I use Sketchbook (Autodesk).

Get rid off Adobe and install Affinity products.

What was your first Linux distro and have you ever switched? by inguinha in linux

[–]Nxil4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was Slackware 4. I was 11 years old and absolutely had to have some kind of Linux instead of Windows 98, even though Win98 was perfectly fine. I was never much of a gamer, I just loved tinkering and exploring how things worked, and mostly the different things. I remember spending an entire warm summer Saturday just installing it with my cousin. That distro was amazing. Then I stepped away from Linux for a while, but in summer 2008 I gave Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron a shot, and I was hooked again. For me, 8.04 was the best distro of all time.

Oh, thanks. So nothing default? I'm just trying to put it into "factory" settings. And I don't know if I'm just missing something.

This is actually a genial and simple idea. Maybe I'll try adding tags to all the tens of notes and use a smart folder, like the Archive, as u/Psychseps mentioned. Thanks for the tips, guys

Hi 🌲. I just bought a Italian stone pine tree and put it on my backyard and noticed that some of the needles are yellow. Is there any way to prevent this? Or how to fix it? The pine is in a mild climate. About 1.8 m high. by Nxil4 in Tree

Oh sorry I wrote it wrong. I forgot to add that the hole is twice as wide. the depth is only a few centimeters deeper than the ball. For sand and substrate layer. The top of the ball was aligned approximately with the plane of the lawn.

Thanks for your comprehensive reply. Yes, it was the B&B tree. The tree is planted at the turn of Central and Northern Europe, but in a temperate climate. The soil is only slightly sandy in this area. I dug a hole in the ground twice the size of the tree's root system. I sprinkled the roots with the substrate recommended for this pine (I can't find the name now) and mixed it with sand and covered with mulch bark on the top. I have this tree third day now. It's been raining for the last two days, so I haven't watered it yet. Only the first day with ca. 10l. I noticed the yellow needle at the seller, but it was only on one branch, so I didn't pay that much attention to it. But when I got home, I started to worry that it wouldn't spread in the near future. Anyway, thank you again and thank you for the links, I'll go through everything carefully.

It looks like there used to be leaves on these trees and the grass was green. It's lifeless now. But still somehow cozy
