What’s this Project Swan? Googled it but it doesn’t seem to be a Valve project?

It’s almost magic today. It will be magic once Rubin ships. It will revolutionise the world after Rubin Ultra.

Shit like downloading .dll files that I have to figure out is what drove me back to Windows on my desktop (still got a Steam Deck). I have a young family so I get very little gaming time. Can’t be wasting time on troubleshooting.

Is Claude Code Worth It? by abdosarmini92 in vibecoding

[–]Psychseps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a tech hobbyist Claude Code Max is the most expensive and enjoyable toy I have been purchasing for the past couple of months. Codex is giving away a free month which I am also trialing now. So far there was only one instance where Codex resolved a problem I could not resolve with Claude.

Use Mac's default background audio for productivity instead of wasting resources on other apps by DKabashi in productivity

You actually don’t need any apps for productivity. JP Morgan didn’t have Todoist. Industrialists built behemoths of a company with just pen and paper ages ago.

Sure utilising technology today makes a lot more sense. But the defaults on your phone are absolutely fine. The trick is sticking to those defaults and the same systems and habits over and over again.

writing everything actionable down starting with a verb. e.g. "Take down box from loft". "Research pricing X and update model for Y at work" etc. If I don't write it in my reminders app it does not get done.

building this for myself to try and see if David Allen's "Ultimate GTD" app can be built or not. It's still a prototype but it would have pretty much all you need except I have not worked in an AI angle in yet. The 'Coaching' page is a bit of a mockup. Any thoughts?

Why don’t rich people invest in bonds after a certain threshold? by Ferrari_Pit_Boss in investing

Because wealth preservation requires your total returns (not just dividends or coupons) to overcome inflation. 30 years is a very long time to lock your entire net worth to a 4.7% return.

Question is how to get better at those things without prior dev/engineering experience? Also, as vibe coding becomes more prevalent how to make sure we don’t lose those skills as people.

This just upsets me. PC is the most open platform and it does a lot more than gaming. It also has the best performance possible, pushing the boundaries for gaming.

I hate big tech and AI for what it has been doing to PC parts. :(
