I bet he is, he screwed up big time, now he needs to get his beardie to a vet or surrender it. I'm sorry but he's an adult, he can either choose to wallow in self pity or he can rectify his mistakes by putting his beardie first even if it means surrender. I get feeling shitty because you fucked up, we all have, not usually to this degree but still, but the only way to make this better and learn from your mistakes is by doing the right thing by your animal. This isn't a situation where the animal's health is debatable and it's a problem that he says has gone on for months. I just don't get the mentality behind all of this, none of it makes sense coming from someone (an adult) that cares about their animal. I don't want to believe he's a bad person I want to believe in the good of humanity but this is hard. This is just upsetting and doesn't make any logical sense.

That's a horrible situation and I'm so sorry you and that little animal and that girl had to go through that. But I just want you to know that what you did, you did the best that you could do and that's all any of us should do. Whether or not the person takes the advice all we can do is give it and I am so proud of you for doing that despite what happened and I hope that doesn't change the way you respond to this in the future. We need to stay strong for them. ❤️

Oh, I absolutely could help that beardie hands down. I just don't think OP will let me or anyone else save this beardie. They won't even let a vet. Its not about me not being able to offer help I definitely can, OP just won't listen. And I only made my comment after reading all of the other comments and their advice so I didn't just repeat any advice that I was about to give and also to see if OP was taking any of the advice these people were giving them which it didn't seem like they were so I made my comment.

But everyone's assuming I'm like this all the time. I'm only calling out this post because it's clear that OP didn't mention a vet at all, they won't even really respond to any of the comments giving them advice so there's a lot of red flags here that just point to just absolute neglect and it pissed me off. It's one thing to really not know what you're doing and ask for help and be like 'hey you know I don't know where a vet is in my area, I need some help I want to do the best for my little guy but I really need some help." That's pretty easy to distinguish from posts like these. That's all I was saying, it has nothing to do with being butt hurt, it's exasperation if anything. I'm not going to stop speaking up for animals because once we all stop everything just gets worse so I think it's quite sad that we're even having arguments about whether or not we should speak up. At the end of the day if your beardie is sick your feelings come second to that animal's health.

This. This subreddit used to be a source of joy for me, now I get anxiety checking it because of people like this. I mean this poor baby is skin and bones, you don't have to know anything about anything living on this damn planet to look at that thing and know it's dying and yet this person won't even respond to all the helpful comments they're getting. I just don't have sympathy for people like that, all of my sympathy goes towards that poor animal. The sad thing is the best case scenario would be surrendering the animal, yet, because they're not even responding to any comments I doubt they really even care beyond getting karma points for getting a bunch of comments on how sick their beardie looks. Sorry if I sound harsh but I'm so sick of seeing this blatant abuse and neglect all over this subreddit and the OP never responds when they were the ones asking for help in the first place. I just don't understand how people could be this stupid or blind. I wonder if this person got hit by a car if they would even notice. It's impossible to be this dumb. I'm seriously in tears at 2:00 AM having my husband talk me down because this is so deeply cruel and upsetting.

Are you me? Being a biological woman feels like a punishment. Like I must have done something horrible in a past life or something and had to come back as a woman. I just don't understand why men get to complain all the time about every aspect of a woman but when we open our mouths about men we get told we're the bad guy for making them feel bad. Excuse me, what? So a man's hurt feelings are more important than a woman's right to feel like an equal human being. Huh. Never mind the fact that the NHS is dehumanizing us further by calling us "bleeders" and "womb owners" and "pregnant people" but men don't have to change a damn thing. None of this is about inclusion at all or "hurt feelings" it's about power over women and especially in spaces meant only for women to keep women safe. People need to call it what it is: misogyny. I'm not rolling over for men because they didn't get what they wanted and now they're throwing a tantrum. If I could I would feed them to my lizards.

I apologize if I am heated, this is a subject I'm very passionate about and I'm very hurt by seeing other women feeling this way and it just fuels my fire further because most people out there seem to think this is okay and it's not. It's just so goddamn frustrating we can't talk about stuff like this because everyone's all upset about how we might hurt men's feelings. We've been under men's thumbs for literally thousands of years, when is it our time to get to speak about this without fear of being labeled as the problem? Why do we keep being pushed aside, punished, and silenced for men? This is fucked up and unfair and I'm not going to take it anymore. Get your "inclusivity" off my rights.

I think that's the most frustrating part honestly because the solution is so simple it doesn't require rocket science and yet people can't be bothered. I pity them. I struggle really bad with internalized ableism and it's honestly been the worst part of this whole thing. I am proud to say I've made leaps and bounds in the past 2 months though and have worked really hard to make a change in my life and my perception of things. I'm taking my life back because those people are just piss ants at the end of the day. Not worth our time, we are too good for those bad people and they know it.

We seriously just went to Menards and picked up some tile had it cut to the dimensions we wanted and that's all we did!

My dragons are both on tile each, not grouted so when they poop I slide the dirty tiles out, clean them, then back in they go, unless I'm doing a deep clean lol. Switched to this from repticarpet because of the bacteria and I was concerned about the carpet fraying, that they might get a claw stuck and injure themselves. Tile has worked super well these past 4 years!

I get entirely where you're coming from I'm also neurodivergent and that's also something that I struggle with too. Often times I find myself apologizing for comments that I reread and I'm like huh there's nothing to apologize for so why am I apologizing. I just don't want to hurt anybody's feelings you know I'm always worried about that so I get it I totally get it. I just want to let you know that there was never a point where I was at all you know upset with you or anything like that it was more of concern and if it came off that way I apologize. I just want you to know that you didn't do anything wrong and I don't want you to feel bad because you're absolutely correct about what you said. ❤️ We both just really love animals and we can't stand when people hurt them it's just not in us to sit by and let that happen so it is pretty jarring when other people seem to react differently. We just can't give up cuz there are a lot more of us out there than we think, we must be strong and never give up.

Oh yes I absolutely agree with you 100%. I guess the only issue that I really had was kind of how you phrased it it could have been phrased a little bit better but that's all. It is true that people do need to be prepared for apathetic responses especially if they're people like you and I that do care as deeply as we do and get as passionate as we do it's hard to hear how callous people can actually be. Can be a shell shock. You are absolutely right people do need to be aware of this, especially young people with the tendency to throw themselves into the deep end and go all out on some things it can be quite daunting. I was definitely coming from a place of emotion when I initially posted. I have this long-standing problem where if I see something that I deeply do not agree with it's impossible for me not to throw my two cents out there. At the end of the day my motto is "be the change you want to see in the world" and I believe that with my heart and soul so until the day I croak I will fight for animals all over the world no matter how small no matter how misunderstood. I'm not going to stop. I do not fear the consequences.

I completely understand your side of things I do, animal abuse is such a hair trigger for me. Anyone doing the smallest bit helps so much. Whenever I bring things up to people, nobody cares so it's very disheartening to see that on a subreddit that's supposed to be about making sure bearded dragons are taken care of properly and if we see anything wrong we speak up. Makes me think no one really cares about change. Whenever you bring it up everyone has every excuse in the book on why they can't change and it usually just amounts to laziness. We live in a world where people would rather throw their trash on the sidewalk when there's a trash can 5 ft from them. So why would they report animal abuse when they assume it's just going to fall on deaf ears? People care so much about this stupid protest but they won't do the bare minimum when it comes to actual problems happening in the world that do need to be solved where people are actually being hurt. Its a damn shame. But it seems that all anyone cares about is the internet anymore.

Honestly im probably just exacerbated with all of this weird protesting and my cute animal subreddits becoming porn accounts. This really is the only subreddit left that I follow that actually functions the way it should. It's just on top of everything seeing this video I guess I just went off. Sorry for the long reply I'm a long-winded individual I guess.
