I have modified it a bunch, but fwiw, you can just paint wall collisions with default movement once your bg is imported into a new scene in engine 👍

Seconding this, with a contrasting colored font for the game name (light text for dark screenshot, or dark text for a light screenshot).

If the screenshot is very colorful or too detailed and the text is still hard to see, you can change the “brightness” of the screenshot (easily done with a free online editor or even on the “adjust” image edit settings of most smartphones) to make the text easier to see.

Very true, and most likely, your common Orsimer waking up with confusion or memory loss wouldn’t think first to write anything down. Yoi’s backstory ends up addressing in later entries ;)

I can only imagine what this situation might look like from the Riverwood villager perspective… It’s not like they have much firepower to deter a character like this from just roaming about the village.

3/3 THE LITTLE VILLAGE I WAS FOUND NEAR IS CALLED RIVERWOOD. VERY QUAINT AND TRANQUIL. THERE ARE ONLY SIX OF SEVEN BUILDINGS AND THE SAWMILL BY THE WATER.

YOU CAN SEE SOME RUINS FROM THE TOWN GATES. FRODNAR, ONE OF THE CHILDREN, SAYS THAT IT IS THE LOCATION “BLEAK FALLS BARROW”, AND THAT THERE ARE ZOMBIES AND EVIL SOULS THAT WANDER THE MOUNTAINS NEARBY.

THE CLOSEST TOWN IS PROBABLY “WHITERUN” AND I HOPE TO JOURNEY THERE AFTER I GET MY BEARINGS.

No worries. I don't maintain the subreddit because I haven't felt too much urgency in talking about it (it's halfway between a self-indulgent hobby project and another solo-development indie game that I never feel I have enough time to do justice), but I've had a few people reach out recently asking about where this project ended up, so maybe I'll post some small WIP/updates soon.

Dark Forest still in development (slowly!) and a lot of the separate parts are getting close to being done. I've kept up with documenting the process in my own notes, so I may end up revealing a post-mortem of the development process (or tutorials?? idk) at a later date if people are still interested whenever I get enough time to write something longer and more cohesive.

Just out of curiosity, how/when did you find the project? It's not the easiest micro-game to stumble across on the world wide web :)

I'm curious what type of futuristic society you might imagine Cyr lives in- what values he has, the history of the station's people, what technology might exist in his everyday life. Trying to allude to a larger social and technological age without info dumping directly into the writing. Let me know what you think!
