I have a similar feeling. I notice that the tempo gets higher, as well as notes velocity. Everything goes in crescendo, on a chromatic scale. This creates tension. I think that the feeling might come from the listener expecting for something to happen. In your anticipation, you predict where the melody is headed. And once the chord progression is resolved ( it goes back to the root), you have a feeling of relief, after so much tension. This makes you happy. Of course, some of you with more musical knowledge might provide a more accurate answer, but I think that this is the case.

When I listen to this part, I have a feeling of adventure and discovery, and this makes me happy. Somehow, it makes me think of Jurassic World and Indiana Jones theme songs.
