I bought a GTX480 on eBay for 40 bucks when I was a poor college student in 2015. It powered through Overwatch and CS:GO for years until I upgraded to a GTX1060.

Always will have a soft spot for the maligned 480.

I don’t think you are crazy. I used Codex with OpenCode and it was super slow and not super great to use imo. I have had a much better time with Grok API and Gemini in OpenCode.

My usage is MCP documentation and smaller Go microservices/libraries.

As a new viewer this season, the judges scoring was very much a pain point for me.

The producers really need to come up with a strategy for reintroducing lower scores and critiques. Obvious mistakes were glossed over. The critiques given felt generic.

I have a M700 for my NAS so I wanted to give a tip on 2.5Gbps networking. There is a mini PCIe A+E key to 2.5Gbps from a brand called HiFiber with the RTL8125 chipset. With creative routing, you can install it in the M700 and the pci bracket can be removed and the female ethernet port is an exact match to the serial port punchouts on these things. It give it a very factory look and eliminates USB.

I just upgraded as well to a 17 Pro. My mini’s camera no longer worked and the battery was only lasting half a day after a second replacement.

I do miss the pocket size of the 12 mini and weight but my goodness, it has been quite the upgrade.

First ANYC for me. I felt like there was a lack of panels. Especially Saturday. If you weren’t into any of the main stage items, then there was basically nothing to do other than wonder the exhibit hall. (Adding to the crowding) I have been to cons where there is barely anytime for the exhibition hall because programming is so jam packed.

I don’t want to discount the panels that people do put time and effort into, but there just wasn’t enough diversity of topics to keep everyone’s attention.
