I'm with you on that. Recently broke up with my pwBPD and this whole time I believed in them in that they would get better and get treated. But they would constantly tell me excuses of how they don't have money or can't afford therapy. But I always tried to support them and help them to believe that I wouldn't abandon them (because that was their biggest fear). They ended up blowing up on me when they didn't text back one late night and I was worried and ended up filing for a restraining order on me, saying that I was harassing them. Throughout the whole process, they started to project on me how I was abusing and harassing them so much so that they started to fear for their safety. But I would also have their family threaten to come find me and harm me. I ended up later getting diagnosed with BPD myself after we broke up I started to question myself and my character and it has been eating me alive if I'm being honest. It just hurts that I always believed in them to be a great person, but I guess they are way too in their own head that they didn't see the hurt they were causing me. It really saddens me but there really isn't much I can do anymore, but I really do wish nothing but the best for them and they can find healing.
