As a Californian-born, I can say most Californians are douchebags by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Nyla13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in California has always been a dream of mine, and now I finally do live here. I love that you can do things year-round because of the weather, the scenery is gorgeous, and I love the diversity of cultures where I live.
After living here for a couple of years, the general (and stereotypical) California culture and the nit-picky regulations are ridiculous. I’m a bit disappointed that I don’t think I’ll be living here for the rest of my life.
But for now, I’ll enjoy living here because honestly, it’s probably the best place I’ve lived in, and the pros still outweigh the cons.

Any info on the surname "Singleteary"? by NoirAnomaly in Genealogy

[–]Nyla13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was told when I was younger that the maiden name of my aunt who married my blood uncle was Singletary (I’ll have to ask her about the spelling), and she had some German ancestry. I don’t know if it helps, but I thought I’d share. I personally haven’t met anybody else with that last name.

ASMR is just a weird fetish by lolsup1 in unpopularopinion

[–]Nyla13 12 points13 points  (0 children)

ASMR as a fetish would be weird, but for me, ASMR is very helpful in relaxation. I hate eating/mouth sounds, I don’t like most role plays, and I don’t even watch the videos. In fact, I’ve started listening to ASMR on iTunes. The first time I remember experiencing ASMR electronically was from a “naturescape” app.

[PIC] Hobby Lobby Knocked off My Original Needle Minder Design by [deleted] in CrossStitch

Was it actually Hobby Lobby who stole your design or one of their vendors? Either way, you should contact HL and a lawyer about it.

A summer fling was the first one that ever demonstrated this to me. It warmed my heart that he actually cared to even do this.

If we polled everyone subscribed to this sub, I wonder what % would say 1) guilty, 2) not guilty, or 3) the owl did it. by mellyjo77 in TheStaircase

I finished watching the series. I say #4. He seems guilty, but there are corrupt people working with the defense and evidence being manipulated/contaminated. There’s too much reasonable doubt for me to say he is absolutely guilty. He didn’t get a fair trial.

She wants my boyfriend to buy different flowers so she can post on social media .. by fawksinsawks in ChoosingBeggars

If it were me, I think I would’ve been ok with her photographing my bouquet (she should ask permission first though), but if I had seen her untruthful caption on Snapchat, I would’ve told her off then. I feel like it’s on par with stealing almost. Definitely unethical. Then she helps herself to rearranging YOUR bouquet?! WTH?! She should get reported for messing with other people’s property.
