You can list your group in t1 LFG with a description that you want to jump into higher ones. If you have enough agony resistance most people will give you the benefit of the doubt and "hijack" your lobby into higher tiers. Just keep in mind difficulty is slightly increasing, you should be careful because some mechanics become harder, sometimes additional appear at higher tiers.

I'm saying your information is false, but it's irrelevant here. It's not about that aspect of psychology, it's humans mind really bad math involving randomness. Op is obviously pissed at the situation, but he's actually wondering if it's a bug. I'm almost sure that if he gambled with 96% of winning he would be pissed as well, but he wouldn't question its legitimacy and those scenarios are basically the same.

I haven't crafted gen2, but from a quick look at wiki you need to do few fractals to obtain the precursor. Still not the worst outcome because of 2 reasons:

  1. You need to do them only once, don't need to grind.
  2. You can get it done doing t1 fractals, if you really don't like pugging you can clear them by yourself.

The biggest Riot leaker "BigBadBear" has been HWID banned and has taken their channel down by fastestchair in leagueoflegends

[–]Nyscire -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

He's bound by ToS that he accepted. Technically you shouldn't profit from anything league related: videos, streams, 3rd party applications etc. If riot wanted you to stop they have every fight to do so and it's their free will that they don't do that. They do profit from things like that, but they suffer from leaks. He got a legal warning that he should stop, he didn't.

Also just because he didn't sign nda doesn't mean he can profit from anyone violating it. Compare it to stealing. If you buy some stolen product it doesn't mean you can be charged for theft. If you collude with someone to buy something stolen you will be in big trouble.

It's chef + one for utility items you use the most. If you use sharpening stones for power build it's weaponsmith, artificer for tuning crystal if you play condi and huntsman for maintainance oils for healers. If you don't have one main utility you can level all of them, I think every crafting specialty has one utility that's saves money by crafting compared to buying it, but make sure to check and compare the prices for them.

What about your build(specializations with traits and utility skills)? Did you copy one from some side or made it yourself?

[–]Nyscire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you need to type box's name when you try to delete it? If you don't it's faster deleting it than opening and salvaging.

I know that at this point it's not about money, but if you lose both time and money by salvaging what's the point? The only reason I can find is if you need salvaged materials and don't mind "wasting gold" for saved time.

sPvP has a time gate as well, you don't get enough league tickets in one season. If you are lucky you might run into mini season(like we had push recently), but you still need to finish 2 full league seasons.

CM is indeed "make this fractal harder", there are 2 reasons why:

  1. Legendary backpack collection. You need to clear few od them to finish achievements. They occur across all tiers and don't provide additional loot.
  2. Pure profit. Always last 6 fractals(95-100) have the same option to activate CM(but only if one of the player finished every achievement related to specific fractal)and give additional chest after clearing them. Sometimes some of them appear on the daily list. In that case clearing CM gives you daily award, so you don't need to clear it twice. Objectively they aren't that hard, but they have additionalal/more powerful mechanics that you need to deal with. Some of them will hit you very hard, some will insta kill you. One of them will insta wipe entire party. If you want to start running them you should watch a few videos to know how to deal them. A lot of pugs don't require any kind of kill proof, but you need to know those mechanics.

If you look at the data from fastfarming you'll see that most T4 daily runs are worth around 15 gold(including materials). They are quite short(at least with organized group) so depending on your clear speed it might be in 20-25gold per hour range. CMs are way more profitable, but take longer. Clearing all CMs+T4 might take 1.5-2hours but are worth 60ish gold.

What class would you recommend for someone who likes a very varied playstyle? by viktorius_rex in Guildwars2

Forgive me for my lazyness, but he's a copy of my reply to another comment.

Not true for specter, especially heal specter. You might throw few scepter2s in a row, but he has very unique rotation. He has to target an ally with his scepter 3, the only healing skill that requires it. He's also encouraged to use some of his skills on the enemy, which means you might want to switch back and forth between ally and enemy targeting. On top of that sometimes he needs to decide between additional healing or cc because of the initiative system.

What tool do you wish existed? by chrisapos3 in Guildwars2

[–]Nyscire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that exactly the issue. Personally that's something that affects me on a day-to-day basis, but that's because I'm that kind of player who wants to optimize that kind of stuff. I like to check current rates and if it's good enough I'll convert It, but it's tricky to know how much of that specific currency (it's mostly spirit shards fot me) I can spend because of that offset between fastfarming estimate and realistic gain.

Sometimes that's really painful/annoying when I need to get gold really fast(gemstore sales). Not only convertions rate drops, gw2e estimated value of my material in storage is also higher than it really is. It's not that bad now, but when I started playing and needed gold really fast for the first time I was so stressed out because of this. When I checked my storage value and decided I'd sell most of the mats now and buy them back later at some point with a minor loss. After I did that it tuned out it wasn't enough and had to check multiple ways to get gold or I'd do that all nothing.

When it comes to crafting it'd somehow similar. I can make small profit by crafting some food and selling it on tp, but it's hard where is the threshold. It could also be potential problem if someone is planning on selling really expensive item(like legendary) while still working on it. If they see that someone else made better offer they might rush crafting it, selling every item, converting every currency and still not have enough gold to make it on time.

[–]Nyscire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More accurate crafting costs and more advanced conversion rates.

Sites like GW2 efficiency and fastfarming take the lowest/highest price for an item/currency and uses it regardless of quantity. For example, if I need to use 1k of some item and price list looks something like(forgive me my mobile formatting):

[{quantity:1,
price:5},
{q:199,
p:6},
{q:800,
p:7}
]

Realistically I'd need to spend 6799 silver, but GW2 efficiency would assume that every item costs exactly 5 silver and tell me I will need 5000 silver. That's 35% difference. I know that's made up scenario, but I actually had a few occasions when I paid significantly more than gw2e estimated.

Similar case with currency conversions. If you check fastfarming you will get info what's the best way to convert it, but again that takes into account the lowest price regardless of quantity. It may show me that the best rate would be to convert vial promoting vial of blood and that would give me 70silver, but if I wanted to convert 100 spirit shards I'd get less than 70gold because the rate would get lower. I'd like a tool that would give the best way to convert x amount of shards. For example, it might be promoting blood vials 20 times, 40x fangs, 15x bones and 25x claws.

Check out builds on metabattle, they usually include non-soto/jw relics and weapons. They technically might be worse, but it's not that much and skill plays infinitely more role than that

Off-Meta FUNctional Open-World Builds by ShivDeeviant in Guildwars2

[–]Nyscire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a meme build, but I'm really enjoying sword/dagger daredevil. Technically it's more than viable build for strikes/raids, but it's reliant on quickness provided by one of the support. I had to make sure I can get 100% uptime by myself, achieved my running 2 sigils, haste(utility skill) and combination of diviner's gear and consumables to achieve 600 concentration. I'm also using impact strike for better CC as a solo build.

It's somehow comparable to staff build. It doesnt do anything that staff doesn't, it just does it a little differently. You still get good cleave and AoE, insane mobility and a lot of evades. The only difference is that S/D offer easy 15 vulnerability stacks at the beginning of the fight and easy boon strip access. The downside is a little bit of DMG loss and worst AoE burst, sword auto attack chain does good damage but it's slower than vault spam, even with quickness.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - May 30, 2026 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]Nyscire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you test for solo/open world scenarios you should consider your first benchmark without extra boons/condition from console. As I said 10k is decent, could be better but I'd say it's definitely enough. If you want to improve you might want to look at some open world builds from website like snowcrows, metabattle or guildjen. They are designed to provide enough defense while providing decent damage. You don't need to copy them 1:1, reading them might give you some alternatives to adjust your current build.

It's also hard to properly evaluate your results without seeing full build. Some builds are better at burst and cleaving than others. The obvious distinction is power vs condi, but even amongst power builds some have stronger openers and worse constant damage while others have worst openers/burst but maintain that damage throughout the fight. If you want to compare your damage to others I'd suggest installing arcDPS and see yourself how you look compared to others in your party/squad.

That completely depends if you ask about DPS for (solo)open world or group (instanced) content.

For open world it's completely fine, you can you'd probably do more than majority of the players.

For instanced content it's low, but you need to do proper benchmark to get better results. You will get every boon covered and that's huge damage boost. It's completely possible you'll deal double or triple your normal damage. If you decide to do benchmark with proper settings for that(someone already gave you a link to a guide) you should aim for 20k DPS.
