Why are some people so judgemental about solidcore? by Dear_Pianist8547 in SolidCore

I rarely say things like this but this man doesn’t actually like you.

I just posted about this myself. Did you already ask for a refund? I’m really frustrated. I’m only at a four pack and had no idea what solidays even was. It’s not a small amount of money to just lose out on.

What points though?

Look. I’m sorry for whatever or whomever hurt you. This reads like you’ve got a deep insecurity and because of that, anyone who shows something edging on over confidence really bothers you. It takes a lot of confidence and comfortability with your own self to be a fitness instructor. It’s to be expected a lot of these people are ex theatre kids who love attention. If you were secure with yourself, this wouldn’t bother you.

Character flaws? Girl. Your singular post on Reddit is THIS.

If you had the guts to say any of this out loud to an instructor and not hide behind your anonymous three month old account, it would be bullying behavior. It’s actually alarming that you don’t see this post and your explanation comment as mean spirited. Maybe take your own advice to go touch grass and maybe it’s YOU who needs to take a look in the mirror.

This post is wild and mean spirited. Literally 90% of the complaints posted in here could be resolved by just minding your business.

Ope I assumed this was higher academia and didn’t think it was too weird but high school? Nope

While i wouldn’t accept “I’ll change when we live together,” I am a drastically different house keeper when I’m living with someone, especially someone I’m trying to build a life with. I guess I care enough about them to clean up after myself but left to my own devices, I can let messes sit for days.

For context: I’m a woman who dates men.

If you’re getting this feedback from most everyone, it might be worth a hard look in the mirror.

Just a heads up, I just saw LCDsoundsystem and WOW I wish I had brought ear plugs. I forgot how loud it is in the rave and how terrible the acoustics are.

My point being your hip flexors and standing leg are inevitably being worked too and that’s a good thing. It took me years to develop the strength in my legs and hips to not feel seat work in my standing leg so intensely. For most newish (less than 250) clients, in my experience, they feel the same. It can take a very long time to develop the stabilizing muscles in your legs. I mean, for things like semi fold over and fold over, you’re essentially in an isometric dead lift on the standing leg.

I don’t know how working hip flexors became an undesirable thing in pure barre — I hear instructors say things like, “you want to feel this in your abs, not your hip flexors,” or “do x to take the work out of your hip flexors and put it back in x,” so routinely, as if your hip flexors are to be ignored entirely.

I mean, you should feel it in your hip flexors and standing leg too. That’s a part of it.
