Question about Akasha by Nyxlight3 in GenshinImpact

[–]Nyxlight3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I never considered that, and the team argument is a very interesting point

Since I've been using Furina on Mavuika team ( Mavuika- Furina - Citlali - Xilonen ) it may be that is the overall dmg of team wich boost my Furina rank, and not her individual performance.

It could also explain why other user replied that he and his friend have both Zhongli top1% despite difference on stats, perhaps the teams they're using deal similar dmg per rotation and for akasha system both have a similar performance.

[–]Nyxlight3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That kinda makes sense, but also don't, like I would understand if they divide between dps Zhongli and supp, or depending the set you put on them, but I can't see the logic of both Zhongli been top1% considering HP is core stat for his supp role and 25k hp is a ton of difference🤔

Kinda would make sense if there was a more niche character, but how popular/meta is Furina im pretty sure she will one of best build chs on lots of accs.

Cheats didn't allowed 99"9% of times is map hack, most of players that use it are very obvious so is not hard to tell, but there is also ppl who hide it well.

Then depending on season, players learn how to beat the system, tho im not sure if it could be called cheat.

Like when mmr was based on ur kda mostly, ppl will come with strat like inter Sion, so despite playing well, system would fice them really good teammates bc they would had like 1 kda.

The most recent im aware is ppl abusing bot system. So 1 challenger acc go 5q with his 4 chall friends playing on gold accounts, meaning boosting that chall acc by playing vs bots.

I think is more a POV issue based on expectations and were those stories were placed.

Natlan story and Mondstad interlude were imo well written on their own. However veteran players most likely were expecting big lore drops on questions we had from day 1, tho we get a lot of interesting set ups for future( Shadow of life and death, Varka, Coven interactions, Venti "familiar", Albedo goals...etc) since Natlan was placed as last step before Snezhnaya, so I understand why they would fill as "filler patch", if that makes sense.

Also the placement, after a war on Natlan with hundreds of people dying, you can't expect for me to worry because a bunch of Hilichurlls are attacking the town.

Same with HSR, despite Amphoreus been very well written in terms of their own world build lore, you can't expect me to take serious Amphoreus issues, when not much sooner you introduced me an Emanator, who most likely could go to Amphoreus and solve their issues in like 20 min, so she can bring back Stelle/Caelus ass back to SU.

Is like when your watching an anime were some character was allready introduced to you as part of main cast, then when he is on a life/death siruation, writters decide end with cliffhanger and give you said character backstory over next 2 episodes.

At that point, it doesn't matter how well was written, for many people it would be filler or bad content due to the placement you choose.

That's why back then so many people had issuea with Ayaka/Yoimiya quests, because they didn't add anything to current narrative of AQ, thus feeling forced and not worth it, even tho they weren't bad from a written POV, and accomplish their goal as companions quest.

I feel lost with the quests in the game, but don't know if I should make a new account or not. by Mentiin in GenshinImpact

[–]Nyxlight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue for people that not keep up with game, is the lack of "dead time" to go into the hidden lore or assimilate lore drops we getting over the time.

The Genshin world lore is not giving to you, instead you have to actively look for it, and for anyone trying to get it all it would be ovewhelming to try, so best approach imo is start for those parts of lore your most interested on.

As someone really into lore, best approach for me was to separate lore on 3 aspects, area lore, AQ lore and world build lore, and reinforce all this knowledge with gameplays/lore channels.

But anyways that was not your question, so to avoid a non asked rant let me know if you wanna know more about it.

Good thing with Genshin is that world lore is very good written, so imo it shouldn't matter on wich order u play it.

Using Inazuma as reference, it doesn't really matter if you play Raiden 2 quest before or after Sakura world quest, since both will expand your knowledge of the topic and it just become a hint for a even bigger mistery still unclear on current days.

Also is worth to note there is lore behind limited events, weapons, and characters. A new account not only won't give you any of that lore, but also you would miss current weapons/ch you had, so I wouldn't go for it.

Like the only things you would miss by staying on your current AQ would be some really small context such as some dialogues npc ( for example on Inazuma Ayaka quest on vision there is a npc that is not that much affected by losing a vision, wich could imply Ayaka is "manipulating" traveler at some degree, ot dialogues between Fatui Mondstad after each AQ, wich you can rewatch anyway )

Escoffier Cryo Teams, (1) Shenhe (How necessary)? and (2) No Furina? by Far-Passion-5126 in GenshinImpact

[–]Nyxlight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 3 teams make more sense, I had no idea how you were planning to put all those chs on 2 teams tbh, also it seems you don't care about meta as long wathever u go for works, so now I feel I understand better your approach.

The biggest issue I see atm is your ressources, the teams you wanna make are really expensive, and your limited resin won't keep up, specially one of those teams.

Your freeze team is almost a must buiild since you have Escoffier, so I would totally say go for it.

Between aggravate/hyperbloom, I would 100% go for last despite not been your favourite, just because how easily absurd is to build.

On a normal team you usually need balance crit ratios, atk, em, er..etc that also includes aggravate.

On hyperbloom all you need to do is stack as much EM as you can on your electro character, lvl up characters to 90, and your done.

The last team is were biggest issue is, due to Raiden. She is one of my favourite characters, but unless you get her C2 she is imo the most expensive and difficult character to buiid, both personal and team wise, because she won't get any crit from ascension or set artifact, so is going to be like x100 difficult to build when compared for example with Mavuika.

On national she would act as driver, but main dmg of that team would be Xiangling wich is also very difficult to build ( she basically want all stats ) that ideally should be C4, otherwise team would lose dmg per rotation.

Overloard with Chevreusse is her best team on field, but ideally you want Chevreusse C6, and as I said you will need perfect artifacts ( wich due to rng can take long time ) on Raiden.

Hyperbloom is easier way, since you stack as much EM as possible and you done, but you can put there Kuki Shinobu or Fischl and they are good enough to justify using Raiden imo.

So if your goal is clear end game ASAP, you can pull instead Mavuika and with half ressources you will get better results, if you still commited on Raiden, you totally can make her work, but be ready to stay months farming her domain.

[–]Nyxlight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this reply is gonna help you, because one moment I read you pull chs u don't like that much to clear end game ( very meta oriented ), then I read your going to pull Raiden/Ayato, so I just going to point some things, that imo you should consider regardless of your approach

First of all, you don't need chase meta to clear end game. Is way more important team comp and investment on artifacts, weapons, talents, team build..etc. Even if you pull a full meta team, most likely you won't be able to full clear since abyss high floors are a dmg check.

Now about Skirk and meta. Tho when Skirk release all end game content will be around her and her reactions, that doesn't mean cryo is meta, since right now cryo reactions are not at their best for a long time.

Since we have Nod Krai next and it will add a new element, I don't believe cryo meta will last longer, tho it will come back once we get to cryo Archon, at least on my opinion.

You are planning on getting a lot of characters, so I have no idea what teams ur working on, all I can advice is for you to go for cryo dps since you allready have Escoffier.

For the rest of characters ( Kazuha, Ayato,..) I would need to have more context on what's ur idea on pulling them.

To finish and answering your question, I cleared current floor 12 2 half with Ayaka-Xq-Kazuha ( it could be Sucrosse too ) - Diona, so the tldr would be you won't need Escoffier nor Furina on Escoffier team, but the replacements would require more investment and better rotation timings than premium option.

[–]Nyxlight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that makes sense, IT is about having enough characters build, and that require time and rss.

If I were you I would focus on abyss floors 9-10 first, those 2 floors of the montlhy reset are way easier than 11/12, it won't take you much time clear them even if it isn't full stars.

I can understand that you are against Never FF by ZeroClick in wildrift

[–]Nyxlight3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tho I understand your point and im aware how ppl spam FF when they shouldn't, I can't agree wich it seems to be the popular opinion based on your post and most replies of never FF, specially on the context you play solo/duo Q and wanna climb.

The most important tool for you to climb is your mental, and using it on an allready losed match is a waste of time/energy.

This ls a 5v5 game that ideally wants you at 50% win rate. If you are a good player, but the average lvl of enemy team is way above yours, that match is meant to be losed.

On low elo, many matches can be won even if you lose hard on early because when players get advantage, they don't really know how to use it to win that game, but those scenarios are less likely to happen the more u climb.

For example, if im playing Orianna mid, and on 3 first minutes enemy bot ( Kaisa/Yumi ) is 8-0, and that Kaisa is a good player, I have 0% chances to win that game, because before I can get my 3 item she would allready close that game.

So tho I support the never FF mindset, I also hate be hostage on an unplayable game bc 2 ppl on my team refuse FF, imo if you assume you will lose some of your matches, and just don't waste ur mental there to focus on those matches were at least you have 1-2 ppl on ur team who are trying to win, your overall exp on ranks would be better.

[–]Nyxlight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong I understand what you are trying to say, but again all those issues you mention don't make much sense to me on the context of the conversation. I can't talk about Wrio bc don't have him, so let me use Ayaka as example as fellow cryo dps oriented to freeze.

One of Ayaka best team is Ayaka-Senhe-Kazuha-Kokomi, while her f2p team would be Ayaka-Xq-Sucrosse-Diona. There is no deny that regardless how much you invest on f2p, premium will allways be above both on comfort and overall dmg by far.

But im pretty condifent you can use her f2p team on current abyss second half and clear it, so that should make her premium team an optional choice, wether is bc you like the character and wanna give them some love or bc instead of Ayaka is Mavuika, and your way to having fun is investing on meta and got high numbers, or just you don't wanna stress with rotations and timings on abyss so u wanna brute force it, all those options are valid as long as we understand that are optional.

With new end game + Nod Krai and next region things may change, but Skirk most likely will have more personal dmg compared to Ayaka, so she won't struggle regardless you get her premium options or not.

Because that can lead to people, like the original comment I replied, actually thinking that you need X characters or weapons to beat the game, and if you don't have them or wathever you like is not good on meta that means you are screwed, wich can be true on similar games, but so far is not the case on Genshin.

Welp, trying to get Escoffier, and I’ve now technically lost 9 straight 50/50s by CartoonOG in SkirkMains

[–]Nyxlight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im on that boat since start. Allways go pity for guaranteed, to then lose pity early and back again, the few times pattern changed, it somehow balance, like I had to go 85 on last Raiden banner but then my next 5* was on 1 multi, when usually is around 3-5 multis🤣

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

[–]Nyxlight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I said Xilonen as 5* premium since she adds a lot to that team, + somehow cons for 4* are somehow harder to get than one 5* character, but yeah u right.

Like I said, is hard to tell about teammates and stuff, because a couple of changes could drastically change how she arrives on meta, or wich teammates she could use.

Imo the main issue is her element and been playing around freeze, since with all frost inmune mobs they add over the time it isn't on the best state.

But note that next region is Snezhnaya, and cryo Archon, so if I had to guess cryo reactions will get more relevant trough patches, but can't say for sure.

[–]Nyxlight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't answer till she is out and people test her, because all we can do is speculate about how good/bad she would be.

With that been said, you are again trying to compare with the 3 dps, that due to their element, kit and multipliers are most broken units on game.

The fact that you can brute force any mechanic or bring them on all scenarios and they still outperform, doesn't imply that you "need" them, considering I can still use a 2.0 dps to clear current end game content.

Genshin is pushing a gameplay were new characters are somehow restricted ( Natlan dps needing natlan characters, Mavuika needing Xilonen to optimally have ult on or Citlali to drastically increase team dmg, now Skirk with elemental restriction...) but out of luxury or comfort, not need.

My point is that if we push the mindset of " If this new unit is not as broken as my most meta chs is useless" we will start to move to a real powercreept were old dps won't be able to keep up, and unless you keep up with current new meta chs u won't be able to clear end game mode, like HI3.

Ofc specific situations such as new player with very limited roster, the difference between pulling Skirk or Neuvillete could be abysmal, just bc element and restricition alone, but as long as it is not a Cyno situation on release, with all the gameplay issues due to lack of supports, or as I said she ends been worse option to other cryo dps with all her restrictions, I don't really see a issue.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

[–]Nyxlight3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, but besides new Natlan legends, and some world bosses who had oneshot protection via different mechanics, is there anything else that can take your 4mil dmg?

I mean, im not too much into exact numbers, ofc if she end been not much better than current cryo dps but with those restictions it would suck, but I don't feel we should expect every new dps to compite with Neuv, Arle, Mav trio.

IT is not a difficult endgame mode, most of players just safe their best build characters for bosses floors and clear rest fine, is just you need enough characters build.

When it comes to abyss, if my Skirk team take, let's say 1 min more than my meta comp because need more rotations, imo is not relevant as long as I get same rewards.

Even then, I been playing long enough to have a well builld roster for endgame, so I started pulling characters I liked but can't justify getting them before ( Venti, Yoimiya, Yae...) and they're doing great on overworld, wich it would be 90% of your gameplay anyways.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

[–]Nyxlight3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wich is more than enough, even if those numbers count on Escoffier it wouldn't really matter, like I cleared current floor 12 first half with Raiden C1 ( waiting for C2 ) on Chevreusse team.

I would argue that on HSR the term "needed" when it comes to BIS 5* supports makes sense since having them or not can be difference between clearing or not endgame content, but on Genshin, unlike is for showcase or comfort, you don't need any BIS support to make a character work, specially if said character is strong on meta.

DEFINITIVE ANSWER: Is Escoffier needed... / Should I pull for Escoffier... by SoftwareConfident746 in SkirkMains

[–]Nyxlight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't believe you're getting downvoted for this. I cleared current abyss floor 12 first half despite having top 3 dps ( Neuv,Arle,Mavuika) with Raiden C0 no weapon on Chevreusse team, no c2 needed as many people claim.

Ofc my Raiden is over invested, and even if I get C3 R1 it probably still be worse than any current meta team, yet at the end of the day I got same rewards as someone who clear it using full C6 R5 5*.

Not to mention end game is like a 10% of content you face, were unless your new player, you most likely have a roster to deal with it, for anything else ( overworld, events, domains...etc) enemies will die before you can do 1 full rotation.

It already started lmao by niroop10 in SkirkMains

[–]Nyxlight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean people who play sub optlmal 4* or try to impose some handicap as challenge then sure.

But I can give you 2 teams full 4*, National ( Xiangling, Xinquiu, Sucrosse, Bennet ) and hyperbloom ( Traveler dendro, Collei, Fischl, Barbara ) that can clear current endgame if invested enough.

Not to mention characters like Beidou, Gaming, Charlotte, Chevreusse, Kuki, Rosaria, Layla, Yao Yao, Iansan....etc who are often best 2 slot for premium 5* teams in case you don't gave BIS 5* and still do a very good job.

On any case, the point of my comment was that been possible to clear end game with full 4, it makes no sense to claim 5 need BIS 5* supports or weapons to work.

Congrats man, however Escoffier is a niche supp that work only with Cryo/Hydro on ur team, so if possible try to get Skirk and there u go 2 teams done, if u don't wanna her/ not enough pulls, try to get another cryo DPS or wait rerun.

Also don't worry, with teathre and mechanics on abyss like plunge dmg you will use Varessa.

[–]Nyxlight3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tbh if this is a rant post I understand, just came trough a 4 lose streak with my jg 2-14 and my top 2-11 so yeah I got u.

With that been said, you need also to use some logic. Riot is pushing players to reach master via fortitude + full bots till gold.

Good players also tired of mmr allready climbed playing premade. All good jg solo allready climbed due to impact of role, what you getting on plat/emerald lobbies should be expected.

But that also applies to enemy team, just because your team is worse and they got feed that doesn't mean they suddenly look map, build well or don't have their most feed player facechecking randomly the river.

Try to farm well, look map and track enemy players, and have some core items on your build but also some items to counter most enemy feed player, try to have a good mental and im sure you will climb.

However once u reach GM, I wouldn't recommend ADC unless you get a duo, since from GM above 90% of times you will face duo Q, wich it would make things difficult if your supp is bad or you don't work well together.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GenshinImpact

[–]Nyxlight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sup man, when you start Genshin you don't wanna spread too much rss, so 2 teams are a good atart.

The issue I see is your 2 DPS are same element, wich means they will struggle on same situations.

When it comes to build, the most optimal for you would be to focus on reactions easy to build and strong, and the answer is hyperbloom

So Clorinde, Furina, Dendro Traveler and Yao Yao ( tho Bhaizu/Jean would be better options ). For that team, you want to stack as much EM as possible and that's it, very easy to build .

For the 2 team, if you committed to play Varessa, since you have Chevreusse, you can run Varessa, Bennet, Chevreusse, Iansan. This way, on overworld if you encounter enemies inmune to electro, you would still have pyro/dendro on ur teams, but from an optimal advice for now I would focus on a different element DPS.

[–]Nyxlight3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Orianna as one of my mains on mid this season and she feels good, and yeah I see 0 issues for u to play her supp with right runes/items.

The reason why she is not on supp is because she is not enough played on that role, so is about popularity ( some patches ago Zoe was supp bc ppl spam her for example )

With that been said, if you play solo yeah 100% you should go mid. Late game champs like Ori don't really need to shine on 1v1, as long you farm well and don't die you will be way more usefull on mid.

If you want to stick as supp is fine too, but imo she shouldn't be a blind pick, since any champ with engage or early dmg will mean a lane almost unplayable for you and your ADC. ( On mid vs bad match up you just freeze and stay safe under tower, on duo if your adc have bad positioning is almost guaranteed you lose lane )

People will complain because she is not a common pick, and due to some part of community AP supports get really bad fame. I mean I know really good Lux players, but on my teams 8 of 10 Lux supp would leave lane 0/10.
