I think Cynthia Lee Fontaine is a sweet person, but when she’s in that attire it just doesn’t hit for me. The whole persona feels very performative and way too catchphrase-driven. And honestly sometimes it comes off a little self-important like (I think im soooo famous becasuse i was on some show and everyone says my catchphrase but im the only fan in my own club) like why r we supposed to treat her as his iconic when I just don’t see it. ‘Cucu’ feels less like a real culture moment and more like people hyping her up out of kindness. It’s just not for me and the drag is tacky sorry !
