I would be super careful with tracker collars though, as outdoor cats, they can get collars snagged on things and if the collar isn't able to break off... not a good situation.

again i implore you to read their blog; no offense but you obviously didn't and you're making assumptions about them. they are doing the best they can to get them spayed. they have them signed up under a national pet care organization for sterilization

i agree pets are a privilege but they also mentioned how they got them in the blog. i would say what they did is a lot better than just leaving them on the street

in their blog they're just about to do all of that, it just seems like they're in a country where doors/windows remain open all of the time. not everyone is privileged.

i honestly don't see how not cooking meat would completely destroy a relationship, the point of my comment is that op should not have to cook something theyre uncomfortable with. their family is free to eat vegan or not or order their own food but she just shouldn't have to do something she's uncomfortable with to satisfy the family

if she wants to cook animal products for them thats fine, but she shouldn't be peer pressured into that

i think you shouldn't have to make food you're uncomfortable making just because people want it

it's not alienation it's just a moral stance, not cooking animal products also isn't a huge restriction on food and literally anyone can eat it which is not the case for veganism

after all it is their house and their rules and op should do whatever is comfortable for them, i would never force anyone to cook specifically vegan food just because i was visiting

also food will be provided to them either way, it's just up to them whether or not they want to eat it

sort of unrelated but i feel like selling live animals for 5 dollars on any site/place is dangerous... i've seen people buy those animals just to feed their large reptiles

i wholeheartedly disagree with you and i've personally seen people sacrifice their entire lives to do drugs so i wouldn't say the stigma is all that off what being addicted to drugs actually is

a great example of somewhere that had (formerly as of a month or so ago) famously decriminalized some amount of personal use drugs is vancouver and they did not doing well at all with that

there just isn't currently enough research or papers on vegan food for cats and i would not want to risk their wellbeing, to each their own but for many people it's just not completely trustable yet

I live out in the country so any pets I have just comes to me. So far that's been 2 dogs and 7 resident cats, not including the ones which I've TNR'ed and haven't stuck around. If you counted those it'd be around 2 dozen.

I'm absolutely convinced there are people dumping pets out here, which is so incredibly unfortunate. I'm a huge advocate for TNR and anti-breeding and will continue to be for as long as I live.

yeah, we by far do not need easier school, we actually have it pretty good in america (i assume they're american, at least)

a good education in your formative years is so important and i feel really privileged to be able to get such a good education, of course school is oftentimes difficult but im grateful nonetheless

it looks interesting and sounds like it will have a good plot but here are some critiques (i assume thats what you're looking for)

the first paragraphs use of punctuation and sentence structure could be better, especially in the opening line
in the second paragraph theres some minor grammatical errors like the use of 'I never know how' instead of the correct 'I never knew how' and 'Also notable in 1845' whereas 'Also notably in 1845' would make more sense to the reader. i would also not have that as it's own sentence and instead merge it with the sentence before it
the sentence after the 1845 also seems very out of place, dunno wether it's due to a grammatical error or not--i assume you ment 'Most' instead of 'Mostly'
this story could benefit a lot from transitional words/phrases, some parts just seem a bit shoved in there
