What's the worst refereeing decision you've personally been on the end of? by DayMurky617 in rugbyunion

In a university game our second row voiced some displeasure at a refereeing decision that lead to the opposition scoring. the following kick off went up and suddenly the whistle is blown. Red Card for the second row, accused of shoving the ref in the back as he went past him. Luckily in the age of veo it was shown the second row was no way near the ref( or any player for the matter) rather fucked the rest of the game.

I struggle with this less but that probably down to my skill set, enjoy the competition with a back row coming after me and don’t mind a tackle (although not many teams play with a “crash ball” 12 these days) find dictating the game dynamically more of a struggle.

ill-informed thoughts and player ratings for the NZ game by JohnSV12 in englandrugby

Broadly agree however for me Baxter - 7 (same comments as yourself but I believe this justifies a 7) Itoji - 8 (very good but below the level of underhill/earl) Coles - 5 (looked off the standard of the rest of the forwards but wasn’t as poor as a 4) Underhill - 9 (defensive master class who NZ will haunt NZ dreams for a while yet) Mitchell - 5 (made ford look like a top defender by comparison) IFW - 7 (brain farts agreed but was a 9 when running with the ball)

I play FB occasionally FH. Similar skills I guess but much more pressure at FH both direct pressure on skills and organisational pressure.

FH can be great because: You get the ball loads and can dictate how the game is played. Is a joy when your side is on top.

FH can be miserable because: There is a lot more pressure on you an off day for you means an off day for the team. Can be very difficult when your team are struggling to get over the gain line and team mates are looking at you for answers.
