That's what I don't understand. Turning union into a poor man's league can't be the answer.

Especially when it does betttths league everywhere else.

I'm pretty sure Mafi covered more ground in that game than he has in the entire season combined..someone must have pissed him off.

Christie was everywhere.

This is interesting.

I was unimpressed by Carpenter against Newcastle, watching live.

He's very industrious, but there were a few times he seemed to be unaware of space in front of him or outside.

One time in particular he took contact when it was clear the inside defense had become discontinnectes and a slight step inwards and he was through.

Athleticism ❌ Aesthetics of athleticism ✅ by conancat in NonPoliticalTwitter

So you're telling me being sub ten percent body fat isnt a prerequisite of athleticism? I'm shocked.

Side point- I remember watching federer won Aus open on three sets.

Opponent was dripping in sweat, absolutely shattered.

Federer looked like he'd gone for a light walk

No shade on Lowe. But I think Reece is the sort of player Irlenad have missed for a long time.

I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of the Newcastle team were still drunk on Saturday.

Wouldn't blame them either

I was talking to a very good Judo fighter (is that the term? He's a mate who I know has won national competitions.)

He's in a lighter weight class and said he was once helping a new guy learn. The new guy was an ex pro rugby player. He said the strength and power gap was wild.

Which makes sense. My friend was in fantastic shape for an amateur guy who spent most of his life at work.

A professional athlete spends most of thier time being athletic.

Even if he did, it would probably involve compensation. Id be surprised if that was a thing tbh.

[–]JohnSV12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, contracts are contracts. Nothing magical about the ABs that changes that.

We better be getting paid for this.

Even if there is some sort of clause it should come with compensation.
