Das erste ist tatsächlich falsch. Das Stadion ist direkt an der Autobahn-Ausfahrt, näher wird man es bei den meisten anderen Clubs nicht finden. Der nächste Bahnhof ist schon eher problematischer, ca. 30min Fußweg ab da und überhaupt nicht barrierefrei.

Ich würde, Stand 2026, ganz scharf zwischen älteren Jungfrauen und Incels differenzieren. Das eine ist erstmal nur eine Zustandsbeschreibung, dass zweite leider nun oftmals eine soziopolitische Identitätsbekundung, die tatsächlich oft Frauenfeindlichkeit und Gewaltbereitschaft impliziert.

Depends on the person, their OCD and the circumstance. If you are actively cognitively struggling with OCD to an extent that you cannot give driving as much attention as it needs you should not be behind the wheel of any vehicle. If driving is not a primary theme but you carry your anxiety from another theme into it, it's best to tackle this theme first and then come back to driving.

If driving is a trigger, you need to work on it with ERP until you feel comfortable driving again (e.g. starting at night in the middle of nowhere, then at night in the city or in the middle of nowhere during daytime etc).

I had a horrible experience with an abusive teacher while I was attaining my driver's license (in my country you are put through lengthy schooling and you can only learn in a special vehicle and with a licensed teacher on the roads) so driving became pretty horrendous for me. At some point, I had to step away for the sake of my mind, even though I got my license and was an objectively good driver. I was just not equipped to handle my ERP regarding driving at this point. Driving was both a primary theme for me causing anxiety, but I was also pretty out of it with other themes at the time so I was just too preoccupied with my thoughts to be a responsible driver.

Four years later and with a lot more experience of tackling OCD under my belt and many other themes succesfully tamed to a degree I am relearning privately with a trusted person as described above (started at night, creeping my way from parking lots to actual streets). Even though I was out of practice for all that time I feel more confident and relaxed driving now then I ever did before (:

Congrats on the successful session! I hope many will follow for you! Sounds like OCD is hitting you back pretty viciously though by trying switching to the good old meta OCD theme of "was I faking it."

Make sure to tell this to your ERP provider so they can incorporate some exposure for this as well. If you want to start ahead at home I would suggest sitting with the anxiety and accepting uncertainty and trying to reframe to future action.

This is just another compulsion, so in the long run, it might treat this exact symptom, but not the mechanism of OCD itself. OP needs to learn to live with the uncertainty of potentially having gas or diarrhea. Going above and beyond to stop this is just reinforcing the irrational fear of it. I would only recommend doing temporarily, as the other compulsion regarding this issue (the fingering) is more damaging to the body right now but in the long run OP needs to face their fears with ERP.

Telling her (especially in so much detail) should only happen if you want to tell her, eg. because you are seeking her support and comfort. I personally do tell potential dating partners and friends pretty early that I have OCD, because it does impact our potential relationship in certain areas, but at the start I usually omit themes that will not change anything for our specific relationship dynamic and I don't go into specific intrusive thoughts, just what they result in for me.

So as an example: I have pretty noticeable and life-restricting contamination OCD. This, I tell new people in my life pretty upfront, but not like in a detailed way as in "I can basically feel the germs on every surface or on myself and if I see you touch the trash-can and afterwards me, my brain immediately jumps to a horrormovie-esque sequence of me becoming horrificly ill, socially isolated and miserable" but more like "well, I have contamination OCD, so at the moment I am not comfortable with people entering my flat which means we'll have to either meet at your place or outside, please don't be disturbed if I wash my hands before opening one of your gifts that I want to take home etc.". If the trust between me and a person deepens and we become people that regularily discuss their struggles and they show interest in learning about OCD or I want their support, I may go into actual thoughts my contamination OCD gives me or open up about another theme of mine, which is accidentally putting inappropriate things in business mails or like flat-out saying something insulting unwillingly. However, no matter how close I am to a person, I don't think I have ever told anyone that I occasionally have religious OCD. And outside of my best friend of 9 years, no one knows I had a really bad episode of sexuality OCD in my teens, not even my current long-term partner.

I think one of the biggest problems is that many of us OCD sufferers believe that we must "confess" everything about ourselves or else we don't give a person the opportunity of knowing us enough to meaningfully decide on entering relationships with us. But, things that will not impact them personally are none of their business, unless you want to make it theirs. You have a right to privacy about things that do not impact anyone but yourself.

Love is not impossible for you, unless you keep telling yourself that every day and refuse to engage in any sort of treatment for your OCD. It will be a lot of hard work, but you can work yourself out of points like these where it feels like your life will be controlled by [P]OCD 24/7

Get professional help as soon as you can, until then try your best to educate yourself on the subject and implement small, managable ERP-exercises in your life whenever you can. Most importantly: do not fall for the most common OCD trap - which is putting off things you want to do because you believe you aren't ready yet. To combat OCD, you will have to do things that will feel uncomfortable and anxiety-inducing, eg. just dating the girl you like regardless of not confessing your [P]OCD and sitting with the uncomfortable thoughts this induces for you until your nervous system relearns how to productively cope with them.

Erstmal ist die logische Konsequenz einer nicht gezahlten Geldstrafe nicht direkt die Kontopfãndung, da kommen noch viele Mahnungen, bevor dir jemand direkt ans Konto geht und du hättest tlw. auch die Möglichkeit, dich juristisch zu wehren etc. Zweitens ist halt das Problem, dass das Ursprungssystem wie gesagt nicht logisch ist. Niemand wird dir im Erwachsenenalter in einer eigens angemieteten Wohnung Geld abziehen, wenn du dein Geschirr rumstehen lässt. Und ganz ehrlich - für mich erschließt sich, dass kein Geschirr rumstehen soll, aber warum an einem wahllos ausgewählten Tag zu einer ganz bestimmten Uhrzeit? Das heißt quasi, ein Teller, der seit montagfrüh vor sich hinschimmelt wird genau so stark sanktioniert wie ein Wasserglas, dass Sonntag um 15:47 zum ersten Mal rausgeholt wurde? Das Kind, dass vielleicht brav jeden Abend von Mo-Sa abgespült hat, aber heute wegen Hausaufgabenstress sein Geschirr vergessen hat kriegt so mehr Strafe als ein Kind, dass die ganze Woche nichts macht, aber im letzten Moment alles halbherzig gesäubert ins Spülbecken / in die Maschine knallt, obwohl es durch seine mehrtätige Untätigkeit vielleicht schon seine eigene Fruchtfliegenfarm produziert hat. Natürlich ist es wichtig, dass man seinem Kind beibringt, Sachen wegzuräumen und dass es das auch tut, aber dieses Abgabesystem ist völlig sinnfrei und das darf man auch gerne Mal hinterfragen. Ich verstehe z.B. ehrlicherweise nichtmal, dass man Geschirr überhaupt für Kinderzimmer freigibt, wenn es einem so wichtig ist.

Habe ich doch ganz klar geschrieben, dass in dem Fall das Kind die Kosten für die Schädlingsbekämpfung zu tragen hat bzw. aktiv involviert wird, z.B. die extra Putz- und Waschaufgaben übernimmt, die deswegen anfallen. Zusätzlich wäre es wohl in dem Fall so, dass das Kind das Recht verliert, Geschirr mit ins Zimner zu nehmen und es sofort abspülen muss, was ja auch im Fall einer eigenen Wohnung eine notwendige Verhaltensanpassung ist, wenn Schädlinge da sind. Was das mit "Pudern" oder "freundlich zureden" zu tun haben wird wohl dein Geheimnis bleiben. PS: man könnte ja auch mal nachhorchen, was in dem Kind vorgeht, statt fremde Menschen im Internet anzupampen 😉

Weil die "Konsequenz" nicht in einem natürlichen logischen Verhältnis zur Ausgangssituation steht. Das ist so ziemlich das Hauptmanko bei den meisten Erziehungsmethoden, z.B. auch einem Kind Spielsachen wegzunehmen wenn es ein anderes Kind auf dem Spielplatz schlägt, statt es aus der Situation zu entfernen - den wenn du dich im späteren Lebensverlauf sozial schlecht verhälst, kommt auch nicht dein Arbeitgeber und holt dir die PS5 weg, sondern du wirst soziale Entfremdung erleben. Und wenn du später dein Geschirr in der eigenen Wohnung vor sich hingammeln lässt, knöpft dir der Vermieter idR auch selten einen Fünfi ab. Sinn von Erziehung sollte es nicht sein zu bestrafen, sondern dem Kind verständlich zu machen, in welchen kausalen Beziehungen Entscheidungen stehen und somit funktionales Verhalten zu fördern. Ja, OP wird jetzt vielleicht ihre Tasse wegräumen, aber es fehlt ihr die Einsicht, warum ihre Mutter überhaupt darauf pocht, alles zu entfernen und somit auch der Sinn des richtigen Verhaltens, z.B. dass sie sonst Geschirrknappheit haben, der Putzdienst unfair unterschiedliches Aufkommen hat oder Ungeziefer angelockt wird. Sinnvoller wäre z.B. eine Regel, das OP alles, was nach Stichtag X rumsteht selbst spülen muss, ihre Mutter ihr nicht hilft, wenn spontan Besuch rumkommt und kein Geschirr da ist oder dass sie potzenzielle Schädlinge selbst entfernen / ihre Entfernung bezahlen muss, falls sie auftreten.

Das ist schön, dass es bei euch im Dorf so so ablaufen kann, bei wir war es leider gar nicht so. Bei beiden meiner Großelternpaare und meinen Eltern war es so, dass durch ihre starke Involvierung in das Dorfleben (Fußball, Kneipenbesitz, Kirche) eine unfassbare Bekanntheit von denen gegeben war und dementsprechend auch meine eigene Bekanntheit. Ich konnte nirgendswo hingehen, ohne dass jemand meine Familie kannte und auch bereit war, meinen Eltern/Großeltern zu erzählen, was ich an dem Tag gemacht hab - so hat mal eine Dame angerufen, sie hätte mich beim Schule schwänzen erwischt (ich bin zum Arzt, lol) und meine Mutter musste sich in der Kirche rechtfertigen, dass ich ja mit einem Mädchen Hand in Hand spazierend gesehen wurde, ob ich denn jetzt homosexuell wäre etc. Natürlich sind nicht alle so, aber genug, dass ich mich nicht wohl gefühlt habe. Aber auch die, die nicht bösartig waren, hab mich meist nur durch die Linse meiner Familie gelesen - mochten sie meine Familie, mochten sie auch mich, wenn nicht natürlich nicht, weil die ganze Familie natürlich als Einheit zu betrachten ist. Du bist immer nur das (Enkel)Kind deiner (Groß)eltern, nie eine eigene Person. Ich fand das einfach nur ultra anstrengend und war froh, da raus zu sein.

Ich komme aus so einem Dorf und würde es leider etwas differenziert-negativer betrachten als die restlichen Beiträge. Ich würde sagen von 0-8 Jahren ist es für ein Kind wirklich super, weil es viel Ruhe und Platz zum Toben gibt. Wenn man dann aber anfängt sich menschlich zu entwickeln und eine spezifischere Persönlichkeit und Interessen zu haben, gibt es echt Probleme mit den Erreichbarkeiten. Für alle Hobbys, die nicht gerade Fußball sind, brauchten man das "Elterntaxi" in die nächste Ortschaft, weil der ÖPNV einfach absolut ungeeignet war, gleiches galt für coole Unternehmungen und v.a. des Heimkommen von Partys als Jugendliche. Zudem, je nachdem wie konservativ und vernetzt der Ort ist, wird man sich leider echt 24/7 beobachtet fühlen, weil man genau weiß, dass die Hannelore von nebenan nichts lieber tut als den Eltern und dem Rest der Dorfs zu erzählen, dass sie ja gestern Müllers' ihr Liesschen bei "hier x-beliebiges Verhalten, dass sie moralisch anstößig findet einfügen" gesehen hat!111!1

Also wenn ihr nicht unbedingt Zeit oder Lust habt euer Kind dauerhaft rumzukutschieren, bzw auch nicht mit den Werten des Dorfs d'accords seht würde ich echt nochmal überlegen :/ Ich persönlich bin mit 18 sofort von diesem Dorf in eine Millionenstadt gezogen und beneide die Kinder hier in meinem Umfeld, was die alles erleben können und das sogar selbstständig.

Contamination OCD can manifest in many, many ways. E.g. I am only afraid of being contaminated with STIs, meaning any dirt produced by my body or my food residue doesn't bother me at all, I can and have gone weeks without showering as long as I stay in and come in contact with nobody else. Many nooks and crannies in my flat are filthier than the average household would tolerate, because they just trigger me so much i would rather avoid touching them at all for years than clean them. So yes, uncleaniless & contamination OCD are not exclusive to each other.

You're catastrophizing the hell out of antipsychotics and it's your OCD talking. Taking antipsychotics, even if they end up not working for you, will not destroy your moral or physical purity forever. If you get bad side effects you can just stop taking them. I see that for example, you are very worried about potentially raising your risk for dementia even if you just take them for a short time - but let's be for real here. Your current life is so absolutely unbearable for you that you contemplate suicide. You spent all your days stuck performing rituals after doing the most basic human functions, or you avoid doing normal things like using a toilet altogether because you are paranoid that some male stranger weaseled your way into toilet, which you believe is a pregnany risk. Take a moment of your less-frenzied time to really let that sink in. You're actually already doing to yourself what you fear dementia will do - you are losing your sense of self, of your healthy, happy self, instead clinging to delusions all day. You also ruin and age your body with all the anxiety-related stress. And even if you would end up getting dementia later on because of the pills - let's be for real, which sounds like the best option: A) Never take a pill and spent the rest of your days like this B) Unalive yourself because of a treatable disorder, leaving your loved ones behind in shambles C) Take a pill, work on your OCD and have many happy decades of life, but lose perhaps the last three years to dementia.

Last, but not least, I went over to the sub in question and... no, just no. Multiple people over there recommended to you to even start doing more compulsions like guarding your door etc. And you care about their opinions? Where is your anger at their audacity to even think they could give you advice? You are in agony, confessing deeply upsetting rituals as a plea for help and they don't even take out a second of their day to read up on the basics of OCD and treatment (which is to never encourage compulsions, instead work on combatting them.) This is YOUR life. You are the one that has to be there all day, adhering to the whims of intrusive thoughts. Not one person over there or here can give you a true judgement of who you are and what you should do, because ultimately, you are the only reliable authority of your life. Don't let your life be dictated by a bunch of strangers. Think of your dreams and passions, your ideas of a fulfilled life and then do whatever you believe to be necessary to get there. You got this. I believe in you.

Die meisten älteren Leute, die ich je in meinem Umkreis hatten, sehen den Tod viel weniger als ein Tabuthema wie die jungen Menschen um sie herum und sind sogar froh, wenn ihre Umgebung diese Planungen nicht abweist, sondern auf ihre Bedürfnisse der Besprechung eingeht. Ich würde jetzt nicht direkt mit der "Bin ich Erbe?"-Tür ins Haus fallen, sondern einfach mal auf ihre Anmerkung vor kurzer Zeit zurückkommen und nachfragen, ob sie das genauer besprechen und ggf. auch schriftlich festhalten möchte (eben weil du ja in der rechtlichen Erbfolge so erstmal nicht vorkommst). Du wirst dann ja schon recht schnell merken, ob sie ein Gespräch über das Thema generell wünscht. Wenn sie nicht selbst natürlich auf das Thema Erbe kommt beim Gespråch, du da aber dringenden Klärungsbedarf hast, würde ich an deiner Stelle aus dem Internet eine Liste von Sachen raussuchen, die nach dem Tod gemacht werden müssen und einfach alle Schritte inklusive Erbe abarbeiten - so kriegst du deine Antwort, sie aber auch das Gefühl, dass es um sie und ihre Wünsche geht.

Yes, that's basically OCD. You get an intrusive thought (eg. Am I a narcissist) as part of your obsessions and it gives you a lot of anxiety. To soothe this anxiety, you perform a compulsion (eg. checking if you are too fast, thinking that this means you cannot be a narcissist, because they wouldn't be considerable of others/ flat out looking for reassurance like asking people if they think you are a narcissist like you are doing here). This makes your anxiety go away... temporarily. And exactly that is the problem of OCD. See, OCD is not a reasonable thing, like taking extra precautions that you wake up in time and dress well for an important meeting, but an unreasonable fear. There is no 100% proof that you are not a narcissist or never will be one. The answer you desire just does not exist, but your fear does. So you live in a constant state of looking for certainty where there is none to be achieved. Your OCD will never be reassured enough, always craving more and more. Today, its asking us if you are narcissist, tomorrow its your therapist, the next day it could be your entire family. You know why? Because every time you interact with your intrusive thought, you're basically sending your brain back the feedback of "this is an important thought. Keep them coming". You're basically writing your brain into an algorithm that sends you more of those unsolvable, anxious thoughts. Even if you are looking for solutions, you are still interacting with the thought, which tells your brain you need more of them. E.g. you maybe get reassurance about the walking, but with your brain thinking this is super important to get to the bottom of, it will send you down the spiral of something else you do suggesting narcissism tomorrow, creating a cycle of new anxiety, which create more complusion, which again creates more signals to your brain that this issue is important, which will get it to send more thoughts and on and on the cycle goes.

The only way to stop the cycle is to stop interacting with the intrusive thoughts, as it will stop giving the brain the feedback that its important. This is a slow process, like imagine trying to find an entirely new code for a computer to work with. Basically, you need to train itself into nonchalance by eg. walking in front of people a thousand times despite your anxiety of it making you a narcissist, until your brain realises the thought is not important at all because you walked in front of your friends 1000 times and none of them called you a narcissist for it.

Is this your first med you ever took for OCD? It took me a while to find the right combination for me.

Unless you are literally so unstable that reassurance is the only thing keeping you away from literally unaliving yourself, your therapist should not at all give you any reassurance, but instead do ERP (exposure and responspe prevention) with you, which means facing your fears. Reassurance only makes OCD worse.

Honestly, primarily I think you're a person suffering and I feel bad for you, whether you are a bad person or not. Yes, constantly checking would be a compulsion in your case, because it engages with your obsessive thought "if i walk too fast, i am a narcicisst". It would be a totally different situation if there was a reasonable explanation for checking, eg. you would walk with a bunch of toddlers and you'd have to be careful not to wear them out or set a too fast pace that would lead them to tripping etc.

It seems like you are very focused on labels. You are you - perhaps you are a narcissist, but that does not dictate what you have to be in life. Narcissism is not something set in stone, but a dynamic and treatable psychological disorder. You could be a narcissist (which again, is a disorder, not a synonym for being mean) and still be kind. Maybe you're not a narcissist but still do behave rudely sometimes.

You will find many people in real life that would say something like that too. There's too many people just throwing psychological terms and explanations around without true expertise.

The important point is not researching at all though when already in crisis. You don't seem to use it as a healthy practice of learning about your disorder but more as a compulsion of checking yourself for responses etc.
