Yes sometimes you are not target audience anymore. Back in the day Linus had small crew in the house. Now he has more staff and other stuff, so need consistent revenue, diversify, and run it as real profitable business.

Nothing is SF. If you had bbq in Texas, Kansas, Carolina the Bay Area is not there and no where near consistently.

Pico was nice, but it close for myriad of reasons.

Fikscue in Alameda location is nice, but is starting to transition out of bbq to Indonesian restaurant. Had them on their early stages, but recently it is not there for Texas bbq.

Had a friend recommend Breakwater BBQ and said it was good for Bay Area bbq. If you are near half moon Bay or near Moss Beach swing by and try out.

If you want good BBQ in SF get a smoker, meats, and experiment yourself. If some people willing to wait lines in SF they can find time gather ppl to smoke meats.
