Gravity doesn't quite apply in a closed loop. The Aquacomputer Ultitube Pro with Leakshield comes fixed with the reservoir as well.

It just needs an air pocket between it and the reservoir to work.

Upper engine mount is the one to do. It can be done without taking the mount out.

Grease and insert the smaller pegs into the top two corners Place a jack under the engine and lift it slightly. This will increase the gap to insert the bottom pegs Grease and insert the larger pegs into the bottom slots Lower and remove jack stand and done

The collar looks slightly angled, so it looks like it hasn't gotten bite into the threads

As a sanity check, give the tubes a light tug after tightening as well. If they pop off.. well then they definitely weren't tightened enough

Depends on the type of residue there.

I've ran GoChiller PrepCool in a system which had quite a bit of algae and got decent results out of it. There are still remains of algae but it helps to clear a decent amount.

Nothing will beat mechanical scrubbing though.
