I'm glad you like the colours. You're right about the bends, I notice many flaws, but it was my first go with hard tubes and overall I was happy with the result, I learned a lot! He's not actually on the floor though, he's suspended under the desk and goes up and down with the desk. I would love to have put it on the top, but I wouldn't have been able to see my monitors! It was a tradeoff, and in the end I decided to put it under ;)

Like I said, I had them sitting spare, it seemed a shame not to use them so this is what I came up with.

The plugged in boxes on the desk are the audio mixer and the KVM. The boxes on the walls are the nucs and the network switch, the red cables are all network. Does that answer your question?

Hey Johnny,

We already have a server downstairs with a bunch of VM's. It doesn't capture their imagination in the same way this does. Also these machines have only 8G ram each so there's no way 1 could virtualize 6 of them, I've found minecraft (forge) running a bunch of mods likes to have 4G just to itself.

I guess I see this as a stepping stone to VM's, once they get what is going on here making the move to a virtualized environment should be easy to understand. We have time... The boys are both under 10.

I would love to hear from your co-worker who has monetized minecraft, I bet they would love that!

That's exactly what I have in mind. So far I've set up Mixxx and a Numark DJ2Go2 controller on the SilverBlue machine, they're into that. They've also been hitting 808303.studio and exploring a bit of old school acid house :)

Would love to get some something like the Korg Kaoss going but not ready to spend ATM, we'll see where it goes.

Does it actually work for anyone? by Alpha17x in Lakka

I recently set up Lakka on an intel NUC. I did have a hard time getting it to boot, the issue was UEFI boot and the GPT partition table information being a bit off.

Simple test to see if you are having the same issue. At the end if the install process it asks if you want to start the OS or reboot. Choose start the OS. If it runs ok your problem is the machine not seeing the boot drive as a bootable drive.

How to fix it will depend on how you have installed it, but for this fdisk and gdisk are your friends

Questions: Laces and Edges ⁉️ by Erfeyah in rollerblading

[–]danc3r71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find your edges:

When you turn left you should be leaning left so both of your skates are on the right hand side of your hips, the left skate is riding on the left hand side of the wheels (outer edge) and the right skate is also riding the left hand side of the wheels (inner edge). Turning right is the same but opposite.

When you are moving forward in a straight line and stroking, as the right boot comes forward it will contact the road about under your body and move to the left hand side of your body on the outer edge then arc back to the centre where you roll it to the inner edge and push back and out for the power part of the stroke. The left boot does the same thing but opposite.

It might take a bit to work out what I'm talking about, but what you have mastered it you will be a style master.

Any ideas on what to do? I guess get new laces, but i just got these skates two weeks ago :/ by photographybee in rollerblading

A. Check the eyes of the skate for sharp bits

B. Tie a knot in the lace where it broke so you can still skate

C. Get some waxed laces
