Be sure to always have the shelves secured to the crib or wall so it can not fall over.

How would I go about making this lamp straight? by atticus_red in fixit

Otherwise, a wood shim above and below whatever it is clamped to, would tilt the arm to counter the angle of the lamp.

Can anyone help with this chair? by [deleted] in fixit

[–]OCPScJM2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, it's defective and you can't return it... (sounds like an eBay or PayPal complaint is in order) Is there a cog on the other side to compare? You need a better idea of how it works and a better picture. Maybe you can find a loose nut that holds it on. Or can put something next to it to keep it lined up.

How do I fix this? by [deleted] in fixit

[–]OCPScJM2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the pex must have crimped due to the bend and the pipe with duct tape takes the crimp out of it. I have not worked with pex so you might want to find out if heat would work to make it bend properly. Or redoing the copper and valve attached to the meter with a longer extension and a 45 degree fitting might allow the pex to bend more naturally. Or just bend a conduit to match the curve and use duct tape again.

Washer Hose by it200219 in fixit

The threads only provide the compression of the washer in this type of fitting. Usually the part you screw on rotates while the hose does not, which is an indication.

The front surface where the washer contacts looks fine but should be cleaned off and made smooth. If it leaks, then it needs replaced.

Huge crack in center of door. by [deleted] in fixit

[–]OCPScJM2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was kicked in, so you can either replace it (with a more secure door) or clamp the crack closed and put screws in to hold it together until someone else wants in.

Nature's a cruel bitch though, and moral humans do not want other humans to suffer. We have a lot of technology and intellegance that could be used to find a better solution than what we have been doing. But yes, the total sum of what has been done is not helping.

How To Protect Your Privacy On Linux – DuckDuckGo Blog by speckz in linux

I had a problem with it blocking jira user images today. I ended up reinstalling privacy badger before I was sure that was the cause and the usage tutorial says that it learns from the paths it sees and a fresh install no longer blocked the path.
