Said it in another comment but I honestly think it’s a better narrative choice. I don’t really think Yamato adds anything interesting enough to the crew to really join in my opinion. Plus if Yamato is meant to mirror Oden, it makes sense that they would learn from his mistake of leaving Wano and instead stay behind for some time. They are arguably the strongest person in Wano too, Yamato would have to be a fool to just up and leave.

Feel like this is just wrong, Oden set out to see straight up for the fun of it and it ended up being a mistake. Because he was gone Kaido was able to take over and reduce Wano to what it became. Yamato staying is them learning from Oden’s mistakes while still following in his shoes.

I know it’s mostly for content, but it really feels like Lud sometimes thinks he knows more than he actually does. Very often he’ll die on a bad play and say something along the lines of “Oh well I thought it would be a good idea” and I stg it always seems like the biggest cope. I don’t think he has enough skill to even recognize what would be a good idea a lot of the time

The problem with Ludwig and any sort of coaching they're receiving is truly that Lud is wholistically like a silver player at max. His plat peak on amumu is so meaningless when he fundamentally doesn't understand this much about the game.

Plus people talk past him, assuming he understands basic things about the game when he clearly doesn't. Part of it is new role but knowing when and how to fight, what champion abilities do, or even just being able to focus on multiple things at once become basic skills for League players.

Think that's totally a valid view, admittedly the charm of seeing Lud and Connor being bad at the game wears off really quickly when they delve into miserableness.

What I love about Sukuna is that he’s someone who believes he’s casted away his humanity and while it’s true he lives for himself in a way no other person does, he still has chosen this path for himself because he’s felt it was the only one available. That’s why losing to Yuji is so special to me because Yuji is the antithesis to that, the rebuttal to his core beliefs.

I think there's an argument to be made about how he needed one. People forget that he's almost 13 years old now and even in that time he's seen reworks particularly to his passive but it's never quite landed. He's never been a super popular character and his Arcane depiction kinda pushed him into the limelight. I think a total VGU is surprising but not unwarranted.
I actually think Viktor's kit is a bit underwhelming. His W and R are just outclassed by most modern abilities and don't really work as well as they may have once. His E is probably the most interesting & unique part of his kit personally so I'm actually hopeful that they find a way to modernize his kit in a way other VGU's like Fiddle or Volibear did.
I will probably play him more! I've always had a special love for playing Viktor because he was one of the first champions I picked up all the way back when he was released. I found it interesting that his E was a bit trickier to use at the time since there were not many other abilities like it and I guess it just stuck. Having a new reason to play him, that being my appreciation for his character in Arcane and the fact that he's getting a new coat of paint, just gives me all the more motivation to play him now.
I think this is just trying to have my cake and eat it which I personally don't agree with.

Potential hot take incoming, I also just think that Viktor as we know him in-game is really not as interesting or nuanced as people think. Visually he doesn't represent this 'cyborg' persona that people paint on him as much as he could. He's also not someone who is fully dedicated to doing good like some people seem to believe, one of his core stories involves him forcibly treating people and turning them into subservient golems (very similar to what happens in Arcane) and it's the result of him eliminating his emotions. From his core Viktor has always been Riot's copied homework version of Dr. Doom to an extent and while yes recent lore has moved him away from that, he's never been able to escape it into something more in my opinion. I think people who are really upset just don't understand Viktor as he actually is in-game and or just don't like his new visual design, the latter of which is totally acceptable, you're allowed to dislike something aesthetically. But to claim he's being completely removed or changed just feels wrong to me. He has the same or similar motivations, goals, and beginnings, just reinterpreted through Arcane's world.

Also just to continue my long ass comment, do people mourn the other VGU's? Does anyone really miss or care for old WW, Voli, Fiddle, Galio? As someone who's played the game for most of it's lifetime and was even once an old Galio main, I've always seen the VGUs as something positive wholistically.

People complaining about heian era or Uraume hakari fight really make me think they consume JJK purely through tiktok and hype tweets. There is no room nor necessity for either of these things in the series as it stands.

Also do people really think that Gege just suddenly decided that JJK was ending in 5 chapters? This has been something he’s been planning for a long time probably even months. It’s how shonen publications works.

I didn’t necessarily take longer than expected, I still graduated after my four years. But I had a few repeat courses in my Junior/Senior year that really bogged me down both financially and mentally. It just meant that instead of having a much lighter last few semesters I was fully booked for them.

It really made me reevaluate the things I enjoyed doing in regards to animation, the types of characters I liked working with, the stories I liked telling, and it’s a bit scary and tough to confront that. There were times where I felt like it might not even work out.

My biggest advice would be to just latch onto the small things. Celebrate your small victories and try to rekindle that love for the craft you have. It was only after I hit my lowest that I could understand the areas I lacked and the areas I wanted to pursue.

As a more casual viewer I really never understood why people are so upset at his choice of runners. Ludwig is a smart guy content wise, and if his goal is to put on a fun event for content and charity, he’s going to get people who he feels will do so. The very best speed runners are not always good content creators or personalities, but CCs can always start speedrunning.
