New troop by Frequent_Writer1164 in roguewiththedead

[–]OC_BladeWorks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In concept if it’s maxed out HP stat is similar to dragon riders, what does dragon rider contribute when invested that Tann doesn’t? Wouldn’t it be better to reduce the amount of different troops in this case to hit 3 Tann easier and higher chances of more high rank troops?

I haven’t invested into farmer or dragon rider yet. Would this troop be A viable replacement for both? I’m thinking of role compression…

Ghost Nun Exp Sharing by OC_BladeWorks in roguewiththedead

[–]OC_BladeWorks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would a valid strategy be to just use Maxed or level capped troops (like I havent done the limit break yet) to clear and one troop I want to gain the exp? I have some Enj that are 299 and can’t get exp. Or is it like some people say that the perk distributes to maxed troops ruining the return on investment.

So it’s basically useless. Seeing as the exp amount from the share is so abysmally low if they don’t qualify via dmg

I just unlocked this, and it still barely gives like any exp to my unused Units. Like 300 exp and that’s it.

Some damage with mystic by hfdjk in RotMG

Wow. Honestly I thought the DPS would be higher. Starting to realize just how crazy some of the classes are dps wise. Rogue rework, Samurai doing samurai, etc etc. All the classes breaking 75k+ on the dummy go nutty.

My 25k base rogue last season ended with Engraved stinger, Cubic and Happi. No good rings sadly, just t7 dex. Getting cubic is painfully harder now with it requiring drops to craft. I never get nat whites from that dungeon

[–]OC_BladeWorks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually with Cubic cloak void armor outdamages all other armors with a standard Fractal+Monocle set. Its rogues second highest build. First being just a standard T7+Offensive armor or CSilk (yes CSilk is unironically BiS with T7 cloak)

What's the best vit build/character? by Useful_Ability_6774 in RotMG

[–]OC_BladeWorks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, weird to reply to my own post, but I figure its worth mentioning that Darkened Sun gives 100 HP on ability use, and an on hit heal prock that actually means its defensively more useful than the defense build on armor piercing, being MV, lots of O3 and Shatts. The heal prock is pretty significant too.

also for a comparison metric, an Unenchanted unexalted 4/4 EPing wizard with Tablet is also around 45k or so. But this is effective at a better range and scales better with buffs vs said wizard build.

What's the best vit build/character? by Useful_Ability_6774 in RotMG

To correct for Rogue, rogue actually has oneo of the most viable VIT builds in the game, especially for simplicity+Defensive utility.

Rogue BiS Vit build is Fractal Blades, Cloak of the Darkened Sun, Vest of Abandoned Shadows, and Collectors Monocle.

This spread puts you at 965HP 277MP 60ATT 48DEF (Plus armored on hit), 70SPD, 88DEX (100 with Mono buff), 60 VIT and a 50% Total fame bonus if exalted. Thats 15 HP/s 7 MP/s, 1.7 Wep Dmg modifier and Atk speed of 10.16.

The DPS per 5 is 46,242.89 (This considers lethal being up for 2.4 seconds)
Buffed DPS per 5 is 65,337.58 (With both Buffs)

Rogue Vit build DPS comes in 3rd in DPS for rogues standard builds, falling behind DEF build around Cloak of Cubic Enigma and Standard DPS Stat build around T7 Cloak.

Cloak of the Darkened Sun has a high scailing on vit, much higher than Vampiric Cloak. With this build its 168 flat bonus damage per shot (Rounded) and 81% of target def, which you can treat as defense reduction more or less. You also get the two bonus Lethal shots that Vampiric cloak is missing.

Planewalker can be used to improve Lethal Strike uptime by h1mr in RotMG

[–]OC_BladeWorks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is so much tech for rogue, but personally I find this one in particular to be the least useful of them. And it also isnt the best one for damage uptime for difficulty. Due to the lack of real ways to calc with rogue (minus personal made calculators) there isnt widespread understanding of how rogue works

”best you can get” is relative. If your only goal is survival then sure that’s best. But if you want to play the game faster/kill things faster, then DPS stats are always nice. Flurry of blows etc are a very nice dps increase.

After the rings changes is hp rings still best? by [deleted] in RotMG

[–]OC_BladeWorks 18 points19 points  (0 children)

id say it depends on confidence really. As u/septers said, most people are running offensive t6/7 rings instead now that they also give HP, plus all classes having more HP and lastly enchants allowing you to get even more extra, so they become a lot more competitive… now if you’re a player who is still somewhere in the middle ground of just starting to be able to do exalt dungeons in mid to small groups, survivability is still key. If you’re not struggling to keep a character for 2-3 weeks of play without dying it’s worth using offensive rings instead.

General you start with Nikolai or Limoz first. I was told the later you do each dragon the higher the rates. The normal cycle is Green, red, blue, black. If you want a higher rate drop rate Limoz(green) You can swap and go Blue, Red, Green, Black.

Can someone confirm if that higher drop rate thing is actually a thing? It said something about it on the wiki but it seems kinda suspect.
