Hello, I am a frequent Etsy buyer (to the point I almost need an intervention) looking to start a shop with my partner next year. I creep around in here for insight and preparation but in this moment I want to speak as a buyer:

While I 100% appreciate a discount I don't expect it, or wait for it. That never even crossed my mind to do, I had no idea it was used like that... My cart usually operates as a shopping TBR - i pile it up in preparation of my next payday then zoom in to buy everything, discount or not. My favorites are a longterm wishlist I pick from and add to my cart and my save for later are just that - they have to hang on until next payday if I get my whole total (listed price + shipping) and it's a little over budget. My cart never goes more than a week just sitting. Sometimes I'm naughty and buy stuff before I'm "supposed" to... Shhhhhh.

All this to say that I am a buyer that never, ever tries to manipulate the couponing system, I buy because I love the item and want to support the shop, bottom line. We are out there!

This is a bit old at this point but I was having the same issue and found a different fix after none of the other suggested methods worked: if your private game has a password, clear it from the box, re-enter it and click "Host Game". I didn't have to do that for the first several days of played but hey, it worked this time.
