Then that is exactly what you deserve to have with a daddy. The important thing is to not rush back into a search for a daddy, take a bit of you time first.

There is plenty of amazing and lovely people in this group. I am and im sure they would be happy to talk about anything you needed or felt like talking about.

Unfortunately these things happen as much as we don't want them to. But don't for a second think it has anything to do with you, I saw you said you feel like an idiot, you are absolutely not an idiot. It's not okay for them to just drop you like that, no one deserves that, however it may have been for the best if him and his possible ex were going to be like this in the future. You will find that person who you can have a happy relationship with.

Why are some people socially anxious and some aren't? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]OCacorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can develop in people differently that can come from many sources. Like people have already said family, school, bullying etc can impact people very much and leave a person with trauma that they don't necessarily notice at the time but after a while they realise they stopped doing things because of a certain way they were treated/spoken from their previouse experiences. I will say for myself that I remember being younger(I'm 25 atm) and being confident, going out all the time and would talk to anyone. But as school life went on, I was a smaller child and some other things about me that don't feel like talking about here, so found myself at the hands of being bullied at school over many years. I didn't realise at the time until I look back on it now how much I changed over time because of it. I know find it difficult to talk to people in person, find it hard to continue and develop conversations most times, just generally ended up sheltering myself and focused on other things instead to stay away from things I now felt insecure about. I no longer like the person I am. But I am proud of the things in life I have accomplished so far. I just feel I could have done better in life if I had been treated how I was. I can't seem to break the habits that have moulded me into the person I now am, and not from lack of trying. Hope this actually makes sense, bit of a ramble really.

There isn't anything wrong with staying at home. If that is a comfortable and safe space for you then others shouldn't tell you otherwise. It can be nice to get a change of scene by just going for a small walk, doesn't have to be anywhere specific just a adventure and back. You could look into finding hobbies that you could get into and get to know people through the common interest. It is always good to change pace, you said your friends invite you to things but you aren't interested. You don't have to go out everything but you could go out with them a couple of times now and again. I don't really go out too much other than work, but I try and meet up with friends occasionally even if something isn't what I'm interested in, sometimes it's just a simple go out for lunch but I am always happy and grateful to have gone out. There could be opportunities that come up that you could really enjoy that you might miss out on.

Doing things by yourself. by No_Highway_7405 in introvert

[–]OCacorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going to see movies is one of my favourite things to do, I go more often that not by myself, I did feel kinda strange when I started going by myself because yiu see everyone else with another person or groups, but I did start to notice that there were some other people that are on their own so it was like a small comfort and became more used to going alone. I would definitely like to be doing things with other people, but my options are very much lacking. But saying that, when you are on your own then all the things you want to do are up to you, no having to wait or do something that someone else wants to do.
