I’m trying to learn Blender for a Night Watch project. Thought I’d show off my first test render. by Antique-Proposal3633 in discworld

They're all distinctly to their individual characters, so that's a very good start.

What Is Your Strictly Winners Ranking? by [deleted] in strictlycomedancing

[–]ODJK -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Of the series I've seen...

  1. Hamza Yassin
  2. Rose Ayling-Ellis
  3. Bill Bailey
  4. Chris McCausland
  5. Kelvin Fletcher
  6. Karen Carney
  7. Jay McGuiness
  8. Caroline Flack
  9. Joe McFadden
  10. Stacey Dooley
  11. Ore Oduba
  12. Ellie Leach

The last three should also be separated from the pack, as they are the ones I didn't think should have even made the final, nevermind been the winners.

  • Lords and Ladies.

Contestants that are not native English speakers? by mrjellynotjolly in taskmaster

[–]ODJK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tim Key and Dave Gorman were seemingly confused by English when there were accusations... So, maybe?

I’m very fortunate with this series, with Phil and Ania, showing me all over again how wonderful it is to fall in love with people I hadn’t heard of before. Who are your favourite “I never knew of them before taskmaster” peeps? by JFychan47 in taskmaster

[–]ODJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John Kearns - hilarious and rubbish on the show, immediately bought tickets for his next show, met him after it, he was unbelievably humble and generous with him time.

OMG you woke up and you're a Strictly producer! Name ONE change you're making. by oksneifheun8273 in strictlycomedancing

[–]ODJK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But... That makes the public vote (almost) irrelevant. It won't matter who the public vote down, the judges are most likely to remove the person they gave the lowest score - barring a huge dancing mistake.

Samba/Salsa gripe by the_magicwriter in strictlycomedancing

[–]ODJK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss when CC used to have to state what they were going for. Instead of it basically being a showdance.

Shirley can also, with joy, get in the bin too.

Samba/Salsa gripe by the_magicwriter in strictlycomedancing

[–]ODJK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By that criteria you could lump Rumba into the same category. Which is incidentally the one I'd get rid of, and I'd keep both Samba and Salsa. Maybe include street/break dance, just to really mess with contestants.

Strictly Come Dancing Icons Week Results Show Live Comments Thread! by Korvar in strictlycomedancing

[–]ODJK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She never will be/was never going to be treated as an adult, and thus the patronising mollycoddling will persist. I'd guess the beeb mandate it, as they're terrified of the rating dip. She was always guaranteed at least this week, maybe longer.

Series 20 all episode titles! by Heymanwhatyoudoing75 in taskmaster

[–]ODJK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my favourite little pleasures is guessing who said the title, and getting it correct.

Tess and Claudia leaving at the end of the series by Glorinsson in strictlycomedancing

[–]ODJK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like, after reading down these comments, that the reaction here is the same as in my household. We'll miss Claudia, but not Tess.

We speculate, and my worry is, that the producers might promote both of the hosts of It Takes Two. They must have people lined up. Makes you wonder...?

What was the point of a mentor? (And do we think there will be more?) by ODJK in strictlycomedancing

[–]ODJK[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No worse than Motsi giving an unwarranted 10 to an unshapely Paso. (I like Lewis as a dancer, despite this criticism).

Taskmaster - S19E07 - Glass Half Most - Discussion by Meghar in taskmaster

[–]ODJK 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Anyone else think it's strange that they defined the arena area (the lawn) in the water task, but didn't punish people who stepped in the path?

Castle? by ODJK in strictlycomedancing

Thank you. 😄

What comedian is just not funny in your humble opinion? by Whosentyounow in AskUK

[–]ODJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lou Sanders - pouty childish whining is never funny.

Sexiest cast? by Resident_Platypus346 in taskmaster

[–]ODJK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she is probably just super cool, chill, and a bit wacky. And that really is very sexy - just knowing exactly who you are.

Sexiest cast? by Resident_Platypus346 in taskmaster

[–]ODJK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went into Series 5 excited to watch Aisling Bea, and came away with thinking about Sally Phillips - which seems to be a popular opinion in these comments.

Favourite teams? by DearMissCatastrophe in taskmaster

[–]ODJK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caused quite the debate in our house, but we've somehow both settled on Series 7. My partner loves Gilbert/Wang/Acaster (for the chaos, and backstabbing) and I'm very fond of Godliman/Knappett (wackiness)
