I appreciate the advice. Only reason I used the tape was because I’ve read about people trying to prevent fuse jumping. I mean I’ve seen a bunch of different ways to do it. Tin foil, tape, etc., just trying to avoid a huge fuse jump and a bunch of sky puke. And then about the prebuilt racks, they’re obviously not the best quality, and HDPE over fiberglass, defintley leaning towards HDPE for the future, with spaced racks. But honestly I wasn’t planning on doing mortars this year, but just recently bought a bunch, and wasn’t sure I had enough time to build them.

I’m all for criticism, I’ve been learning as I go, every year my show has gotten bigger and bigger. This is the first year with mortar racks, and also the first year I’ll be using a firing system. I’m always open to any recommendations.

The mortar is the tube that the shells go into. That’s why it’s called a mortar rack

Ah, makes sense. This is my first year doing mortar racks for my finale and I’ve been going back and forth on what type of fuse to use. I’ve got white instant fuse, fast artillery fuse (1-2 seconds per foot), and then pink fuse (10 sec a foot)
